Looking for a beautiful open-air shopping experience? With its
more than 240 stores and 70 restaurants, the Ala Moana Shopping
Center is one of the largest open-air malls in the U.S. You'll find
regular stores you know from the Mainland, such as Macy’s, Sears,
Nine West, Old Navy and Hallmark to local stores, such as Hilo
Hattie. About half of the mall is occupied by designer stores, where
you can find the latest styles, from Armani and Gucci to Prada.
But you can do much more than just shop here. The mall's Centerstage
features more than 500 performances a year. Local groups as well as
national and international entertainers perform here almost every
day free of charge.
Hungry? Check out the huge food court on the ground floor, where
you'll find great foods from all over the world. The dishes are
relatively affordable. If you are looking for a restaurant or bar,
check out the Bubba Gump Shrimp Company, a Forrest Gump-style
seafood restaurant on the top floor, right next to the California
Pizza Kitchen and Jackie Chan’s restaurant. After dinner, enjoy some
happy hour drinks at the open-air Mai Tai Bar right next door. When
visiting Oahu, the Ala Moana Center is a must-see.
You'll find the mall on Ala Moana Boulevard within walking distance
from many Waikiki hotels. Pink Line shuttle trolleys provide
convenient transportation between the Center and eight locations in
Waikiki every 15 minutes. You can also take the City Bus.
