Hy's Steak House, Oahu

Hy's Steak House is an award-winning restaurant located at the Waikiki Park Heights Hotel. It is one of the best-known steakhouses in Hawaii since it opened in 1976. Hy's superb cuisine has been classified as "continental," but the restaurant's decor and menu demonstrate mixtures of American, European, Hawaiian and Pacific influences. As you enter the Main Room you will feel as if you are in an old English mansion. The Main Room looks like a library with a unique collection of books and artwork. Hy's features an exquisite wine list with selections (emphasizing on the reds) imported from some of the most renowned vineyards in the world.

Besides the unique setting, Hy's is known for its kiawe broiled steaks (kiawe is a type of Hawaiian hardwood that burns at a very high temperature, which adds the perfect flavor to the broiled prime beef), delicious seafoods, and all-time favorites and tableside preparations of many classic dishes. The good food and romantic setting is accompanied by nightly live music performed by top musicians. Reservations are highly recommended and proper attire is required.
