The newly renovated Sheraton Waikiki is a popular choice, especially for families and conference groups. Perhaps one of the hotel's key features is the oceanview of around 80% of its 1,634 guest rooms and suites. Rooms could be described as minimalist in terms of quantity of furniture, though the added space is certainly of benefit to families. Amenities are modern if not spectacular, and all rooms have in-house entertainment and an excellent maid service.
Another standout feature of the hotel is undoubtedly the infinity pool, one of two swimming facilities available. There are slides for children (or the young at heart!) and space for lounging. The choice of restaurants at the Sheraton Waikiki is not the broadest by any means. Though the RumFire cocktail and tapas bar is a fun, lively place to spend an evening.
For special events and meetings, the Sheraton Waikiki has meeting facilities available, the largest measuring just under 26,000 square feet. The hotel also offers a series of activities, from a kids club to craft classes every Friday in the lobby.
