We arrived during the August fires and had no idea we would not be able to get our accommodations, the roads were a mess. The car rental company was warning, we might have to sleep in our car. People were already sleeping at the airport because they had no where to go, the madness happened as we were sitting in a plane excited to visit the island. So tobhave somewhere to stay was load of my shoulders while i worried about fires near by and evacuations. The host found us a condo in Kihei, so we could lay our heads. She worked with me on canceling our reservstion, gave us back our money so we could cover our stay South Maui. Overall they helped us so much and I am so grateful.
