“The Makahuena” is located on the southernmost point of Kauai. This unique oceanfront resort is situated on the edge of a bluff providing spectacular coastal views. This 2-bd/2-ba condo is on the second floor with oceanfront views in the heart of sunny Poipu, full kitchen, spacious lanai, W/D in the unit, and air conditioning throughout. PLEASE NOTE that the pathway from the parking lot to the condo is layered and involves flights of stairs along the way.

The primary bedroom is furnished with a King sized bed, split duct AC, TV, and ensuite bathroom. The guest bedroom is furnished with a King sized bed, portable AC, TV, and a full guest bathroom. The open living space has a split duct AC, TV, & queen sleeper sofa bed.

Included: Access to Poipu Beach Athletic Club for up to 5 guests - Pool with waterslide, hot tub, tennis & pickleball courts, cardio & weight room, basketball & shuffleboard. Enjoy food & drinks at the Cabana Bar & Grill, or take a fitness class (additional costs).

PLAN ACCORDINGLY: We are not able to grant early check-ins and/or later check-outs in advance. This is a non-smoking condo. Additional guests and gatherings are not allowed.

Destination Kauai is a locally owned and family operated company. We offer contactless check-in for a seamless arrival. A 15% deposit is due at the time of booking. Refundable security deposit applies.

We recommend soaking in the sun and enjoying the beautiful outdoors that Kaua'i has to offer. But if you need to stay connected, free wireless internet is provided.
For your convenience, we provide some beach gear for your use: beach chairs, umbrella, small cooler, and beach towels. We also provide a starter supply of amenities and toiletries (soaps, toilet paper, paper towels, detergents).

Shipwreck beach (5 min walk), enjoy boogie boarding at a nearby Brennecke's Beach (8 min. walk), go snorkeling with lifeguards on duty at Poipu Beach Park (10 min.) or take surf lessons at Sheraton Beach (15 min.). Walk to the Grand Hyatt Resort (5 min walk). Treat yourself to a massage at the Anara Spa or play golf at the nearby Poipu Bay Golf Club (one of Tiger Woods' favorites) - all of this within walking distance.

Beautiful well furnished condo with glorious ocean view from large lanai balcony. We watched beautiful sunsets and listened to crashing waves every day- no need to go to fancy restaurant for a sunset view. It couldnt be better view. Nice pool amd hot tub too. Walk to Hyatt and Poipu Beach park

Lovely location … could hear the surf crashing on the rocks … close to Hyatt and Beaches there and Brennecke Beach ( where turtles come to rest on the beach ) Little Fish , Puka dogs all within a short walk … shopping too … quite a delight

This property has stunning views and the location is great. Very spacious and roomy feeling with a large living room and decent sized kitchen. My only complaint is that the air conditioning unit is out on the patio.
