After 25 years here on Maui, we have acquired another stunning suite that is resting on an ocean front property with a loft, vaulted beamed ceilings & is centered in Mahinahina between Ka'anapali & Honokowai beaches of west Maui and is in need to TOURISTS, in helping our community rebuild with your booking.
The Kuleana Resort is unlike the larger high-rise resorts, offering an extremely quiet "Old Hawaiian" experience to unwind and relax in. Suite 201 is a fantastic penthouse end unit that has been completely renovated/redecorated as of October of 2022, offering 1180 Sq. ft including lanai for your enjoyment and yearly whale watching between December and April. Please excuse the photos, VRBO is still unable to clear them up, we can send you some upon request or see them on our other site.
RATE CUTS: Nightly Rates have been reduced by $120 per night, now back to 2019 rates of $339.00 per night.

THE PENTHOUSE AMENITIES:
Take in the stunning ocean and sunset views overlooking the garden and pool from the lanai. The suite has been appointed with many amenities of home. There is a newer washer and dryer for your convenience on the first-floor bathroom and a fully equipped renovated kitchen and bathrooms. There are (3) Smart TVs installed into shadow boxes, 65" in the living room, 55" in upper master and 42" in lower master for your enjoyment. We offer free parking and high-speed Wi Fi. In June of 2022 brand new windows have been installed throughout the suite. For those that must have Air-conditioning during your stay, it is in both bedrooms, however many find the natural fresh air and fans running more enjoyable.
SLEEPING AREAS/ BATHS: This is a two bedroom, two bath, two story end unit that sleeps up to 6 adults. The master bedroom is in the loft with a Cal King and the other bedroom is on the main floor with a Queen, each has a bathroom attached. On the main floor, there is a brand-new upgraded Queen sofa sleeper with a 5" thick memory foam mattress with no bars in your back. Have an infant? We can provide a pay pack/crib and highchair at an additional cost outside of the vacation rental. We must have 30 day or more notice prior to arrival
RESORT GROUNDS:
We offer a large gorgeous, tiled swimming pool and lounge chairs surrounded by tropical landscape. In the Rec Room by the check-in desk under the Tennis court, there is a library to share books along with ping pong tables. There is a tennis court, shuffleboard, and barbecue areas along the beaches, and we have two beautiful lava rock lined private beaches. NOTE: Due to uncontrollable currents, sand can come and go at each beach throughout the year.
HOUSING OPTION:
If this penthouse is too large for you, we also have another unit down the street at "The Napili Bay Resort” That unit is a studio and sleeps up to 4 adults and is right on the ocean. We loved our stay at the Kuleana resort. Troy was an excellent host and their place was immaculate and welcoming. Everything was well labeled and easy to find and operate. The location was perfect for us- we stayed in the main resort area last time we visited Maui (kaanapali) and didn’t like the built up and touristy/resort vibe. This location was away from that area and more quiet and relaxing. If you are looking for a less resort feel and more private location, this would be a great spot for you. It is still part of a resort with amenities like a pool (which we never used because the ocean is right there). We also prefer rocky tidepools to white sand beaches and this location had nice rocky shoreline with green sea turtles swimming in the ocean off the beach. We will definitely stay here again if (when) we visit Maui again!

Not only was the condo nicely decorated it was equipped with everything you might need during your stay. The owners have thought of everything! Scissors, batteries, salt and pepper, beach chairs were all available for our use. I have stayed at Kaanapali Shores in other units and they did not measure up to this one. Troy was so easy to work with and responded immediately when there was an issue with the dishwasher….evidently user error! It was a lovely week.
