OUTRIGGER Kauai Beach Resort & Spa is just 2 miles from Lihue Airport. 3 miles from Costco, and Safeway. Walmart is situated next to Lihue Airport. Kauai Beach Resort is centrally located to get to Princeville or Poipu easily. I do recommend a car rental for getting around the island and exploring.
**The resort does charge a $35 per day parking fee plus tax. You can also use a taxi.
Save a bunch of money by booking my place, as a private owner instead of going through the resort directly. This 5th floor, (top floor) suite is in a convenient location and has one of the BEST VIEWS!!
It gives easy access to the front desk, restaurants, elevator, lounge with microwave and parking. This 5th floor (hotel room) Hawaiian suite has an AMAZING pool and ocean views from inside the suite and on the lanai/balcony plus New AC.
Beautifully renovated, 2 New Queen size Sterns & Foster Mattresses plus all new furniture. (A comfy bed is a must!)
The room size is 307 sq ft and the balcony is 58 sq ft.
There is a pack and play crib to use at no additional cost.
Maximum occupancy per Resort is 4 adults.
Per Kauai county laws, the suite does not have any cooking facilities (NO KITCHEN) but, I provide a coffee maker with complimentary coffee and a mini fridge with a freezer. I also provide cups & silverware. There is an ice machine on the 4th floor. The microwave is located just down the hall from the suite in the guest lounge. Laundry facilities are on the first floor of building one.

The beach at the resort is not good for swimming due to the rocky bottom. But Lydgate Park is less than 2 miles away with a great swimming area and Disc golf course. And if you forget your disc's we have some in the room to use.

This is a room at a resort but it’s hosted by an individual instead of just being one of the many rooms onsite. What this meant was that we had resort amenities with a personal touch and extra items included. With ample instructions sent to us before check in day, we checked in at the front desk and headed upstairs. Upon arrival in the room, we noticed a box of Hawaiian chocolates and a note from our host, April. She has the room equipped with a small refrigerator (not just a tiny mini fridge), a few plates and bowls, cups, mugs and a coffee maker plus dish soap and sponge in the corner of the bathroom to wash up. She had some beach items for use, hooks around the room for hanging damp items or other clothes, chairs on the balcony overlooking the courtyard, very comfortable beds, toiletries in the bathroom, bath towels as well as beach towels, etc. We were only there for a couple of nights and were gone on an excursion most of the main day but we did get to walk down on the beach, and briefly use the pools and hot tubs. With Lihue being by the airport and on the east coast, I could see it being a good spot for home base for anyone wanting to explore both the north and south of the island without moving accommodation.
The only cons I can see would be the beach not being a great spot for swimming, and the parking fee but the pool area is great, there are many other beaches, and parking fees are common at resorts so that wouldn’t stop us from booking again. Great spot!

It was an incredible stay and everything was extremely good. The resort is very well maintained and the room on the 5th floor overlooks the pool. The only missing aspect was housekeeping is not provided if you dont stay for more than 6 nights. We spent 5 nights and wasn't available.

We thoroughly enjoyed our week in April’s property! It is beautifully decorated and comes with all the necessities for a week of island fun. The view from the lanai is absolutely stunning both during the day and at night! Would most definitely book this property again - we hated to leave but alas, vacations do have to end. Mahalo, April!

Clear and frequent communication, recommendations to work with the local concierge for local activities made our stay quite enjoyable. Our room was not only spotless, and beautiful, but very comfortable with everything we needed, including a perfect view of the pool and beach area. We will definitely return to Kauai, and book with our wonderful host again!

Great stay, clean, nice swimming pools & hot tubs, tasty food, and accommodating host. One downside is the immediate beach is not safe for swimming but drove to nearby beaches for ocean swim and activities.
