Aloha and e komo mai to our Ohia Guest House in beautiful Kailua-Kona. We live at a cooler elevation of 1000 feet with pleasant tropical breezes. Our property is on 1.5 acres of tropical landscaping, we are approximately 3 miles from shopping and beaches of Kona, and 1 mile from the historic coffee village of Holualoa. From our property we have panoramic views of the ocean, the coastline and Kona. And at night there is great stargazing. Our property is quiet, safe, tranquil and private.

Our property boasts many fruit trees, which we love to share, guests are welcome to pick fruit and explore the property. Come and relax, enjoy the sounds of the tropics in the privacy of your own space. Sip your morning coffee while sitting on 1 of the 2 private lanai's gazing out over the Pacific Ocean, as well as year round sunsets. And in the evenings enjoy stargazing and the cool breeze.

Ohia Guest House is your well equipped home away from home, it has everything you will need for a comfortable holiday on The Big Island. There are ocean views from the living room, bedroom and lanai's. The kitchen is fully appointed (minus a dishwasher) set up for cooking, as well as a barbecue. There is a coffee station equipt with complimentary coffee, sugar, and creamer; a drip coffee machine; french press; and grinder. You have your own laundry room with a washer and dryer, and lots of beach equipment.

The Ohia Guest House is a separate building from the main house, the 2 structures sit beside each other, but there are no shared walls, they are separated by a breezeway (outside hallway). The guest house has its own private entrance and dedicated parking spots. It comfortably fits 4 people, there is a master bedroom (queen bed), living room (double futon), 1 full bath, a full kitchen, private laundry, and 2 lanai’s. The unit also has a BBQ and beach equipment.

Please note we are smoke free, this includes all types of smoking and vaping.
During the Covid pandemic I want to make sure our guests feel comfortable staying with us, as well as our family. On top of my regular cleaning between guests, I will take extra care to clean/sanitize all high touch areas (I.e. door handles, light switches, counter/table surfaces, etc). The unit is stocked with hand soap, dish soap, all purpose surface cleaner, and hand sanitizer. Staying here was such a gift. My sister and I were very happy with the space. The owners were super accommodating and kind. Great spot to stay cool at nighttime. The home was very clean and the amenities made us feel right at home. Thank you for letting us stay!

Property is quaint and peaceful. I loved the solitude and the many calls of the birds and animals. Location provided us with easy access to many beaches and other sites of interest to my wife and I. Hosts also made sure things were in working order and responded very quickly if we had questions. We wish to stay at this location again. We had a dream vacation!
