This two-story home sits right on Anini Road with a flat, sandy, dedicated beach access point just across the street. The house's name - Kai Malie, meaning 'calm sea' - perfectly reflects the serene, lagoon-like conditions that Anini Beach is known for among families, swimmers, and snorkelers year-round.
Inside, find a freshly upgraded space that epitomizes the island lifestyle. The main living area sits beneath a vaulted ceiling and is illuminated through a wall of windows overlooking swaying palms and the expansive, wrap-around deck. Prepare your morning Kona coffee in the well-equipped kitchen, use the provided suite of appliances to whip up full-course meals, or step outside to sear some fresh seafood on the gas grill. Sit down together at the dining table for eight or gather outside on the furnished, wrap-around deck with tables and chairs for up to eight as well. The front lanai, which is covered for rainy days, features a partial view of the ocean and a hammock for afternoon naps.
In the afternoons and evenings, retreat upstairs in the loft to choose a book from the shelves, watch TV, or simply survey the tropical landscape extending southward. When it's time to turn in, you'll find the three bedrooms in their own corners of the house, with each featuring a sliding glass door that connects to the deck.

This was perfect for our trip! It allowed us all to have our own spaces but still a large communal area. The kids loved the porch and our 2 teens spent most of our down time arguing over the hammock. :) Its only a short walk to the beach and the location really can’t be beat. The only negatives are that the beds are a bit hard and it got warm in the house but we were mentally prepared since no rentals on the northside have AC. We would definitely stay here again!

The perfect home and location for our Kauai getaway.
We enjoyed sunrise on Anini beach (sea turtles swam right up to us).
The location is very convenient, close to Foodland in Princeville and the awesome restaurants and bay in Hanalei.
The house had everything you could need/expect!

Spacing home is right near the beach where are you can enjoy views of the forest and the water. fantastic for families and friends.

My family (2 adults, 5yo, 2yo) stayed for a week in mid July and absolutely loved it. I was worried about it getting too hot but with fans on and windows open, it was never too warm. The beach is right across the street (2 min walk) and the reef there keeps the waves calm so it was perfect for the kids to play. Anini beach view is simply amazing. My only minor complaint is that the mattresses were not super comfortable.

We enjoyed the location close to all our favorite things to do on the island. The house was as advertised and had all the things we needed. We loved the lanai, the grill, and the outdoor dining table.

Beautiful, old beach cottage within 5 min walk to the beach with 4 kids age 4-9. Be prepared for no AC but cools down at night with windows open and ceiling fans in each room. Lots of beach items available to use from chairs to beach toys. Wrap around porch is awesome and great for hanging out or eating outside. We had a great week as a family and spent a lot of our time at the quiet beach which was amazing for our kids.

We rented this property about 5 years ago & loved it. We returned this year with my two granddaughters who are both 14 months old. The property was very baby friendly as well as adult friendly. The space is large and divided well so we all had quite enough room for group and individual time. The kitchen is well stocked with tools and appliances that made our stay most pleasant. Being able to get to and from the beach easily was wonderful. Lots of beach chairs and beach towels made it even easier. The weather also cooperated. Only one very rainy day out of 10. We hope to return in a few years.
