Hanalei Bay Resort is one of the premier properties on Kauai. Nestled on 22 acres along the beautiful coastline of the North Shore, the resort abounds with tropical foliage and amazing views of the green mountains, waterfalls, tropical sunsets over Bali Hai, and the beautiful blue waters of the Pacific Ocean. In this spot overlooking Hanalei Bay, you'll be steps from a white-sand beach below the resort.
Originally built as a tennis resort, the property still features some of the finest tennis facilities on the island. Enjoy access to eight tennis courts, a tennis pro shop, bell and shuttle service, beach gear rentals, a lagoon-style saltwater pool designed for family fun, and a quieter, smaller pool for those looking for something a little more relaxing. Hanalei Bay Resort also boasts proximity to many North Shore attractions, shops, and two of Kauai's best golf courses.

Condos contain lockouts, meaning there are shared doors. Sounds may be audible between connecting doors.
Hanalei Bay Resort fees are due at check-in to the resort and are collected by the front desk. These include a one-time fee of $50 per reservation, a reservation fee of $6.75 for every non-owner reservation request, a $25 a day resort fee, and a $20 fee per car a day for parking.
This home does not have a kitchen, but there is a mini-fridge and a coffee maker
Internet provided by Hanalei Bay Resort does not support streaming services such as Netflix, Hulu, etc.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

The bathroom tub was FILTY, shower curtain had mold on it and tub wouldn't drain. I called VASCO to have someone look at these problems, they assured me someone would...no one ever came by or followed up by phone. When we stripped the bed before checking out, there was no mattress pad (GROSS and UNSANITARY!) and the pillows were stained. Communication was not good. Disappointed!

Unit had cleanliness issues, with dust under furniture, cobwebs on ceiling and walls, bird poop and feathers on patio. While the location and view are nice, this unit is dated and needs more attention.

Loved it here! Amazing views of the mountains/bay and great sunsets from both the room and just about everywhere on the property. Not overcrowded at all. Walking path down to an awesome, quiet beach as well. Restaurant on-site was great and so picturesque. Staff were friendly and helpful. Easy driving access down to Hanalei bay. Would definitely come back here. Thank you for having us!

We loved our stay in Hanalei Bay Resort! The views from this unit are stunning! There were thoughtful touches in the unit like dishes, reading lights, very comfortable bed and chairs, a fan that worked well to circulate the AC, and chairs / table on the deck. Thank you for making your unit available. We had a lovely stay!

This unit is an absolutely gorgeous resort with a full restaurant, pizza place, and FULL view of bluff and . Multiple pools and hot tub, but also nice and quiet. Very quick access to Hanalei where we spent most of our time. I would highly recommend the unit owner provide a small table indoors for preparing food and sink for doing dishes. Not easy to prepare meals. Adequate refrigerator though for storing food. The multiple doors between units was NOT a big deal. Could not hear anything from other unit and it did not affect our stay whatsoever. Quite a walk from the lobby/parking lot and unit is on 3rd floor, so definitely for the physically able. You are able to call one of the golf cart drivers for all transport if you wish and they come quickly! AC worked amazingly and there were no bugs/insects. Would rebook again!

The resort was beautiful! Great beach and pool were wonderful- we had a few small issues with the room but they fixed them pretty quickly, would definitely consider staying here again

The view is amazing, just nature in front of you. You can watch the sun set on the sea from the balcony. Very omfortable bed.

We spent four nights there. The ocean view was gorgeous. The compound was beautiful. The apartment was decent in size. Its deco was dated. The shower was old and not very clean and so was the toilet.
The ceiling fan couldn't be turned off which made a clicking sound on each round and it drove me crazy during the nights. The ceiling light couldn't be turned on and it flashed once a while. We noticed "sands" on the pillows and sheets since the first night which turned out to be termite droppings from the ceilings. The helpline couldn't offer much help but promised local crew would contact me the next day. We spent the night shivering as the blanket was very thin and the fan was going. We had to use the beach towels as another layer to keep us warmer. We didn't get any response nor help on the 2nd day. So we had to shiver for the 2nd night. I texted all the possible contacts. On the 3rd day a local crew came trying to fix the ceiling fan while we were away but he couldn't. He did leave us blankets which saved us from shivering at night and some supplies that were missing from the apartment. We spent all four nights with the ceiling fan going with an annoying clicking sound on every round, with the termite droppings on our pillows and sheets every morning we woke up and every night before we went to bed.
The office told me they were going to compensate me for all the troubles we experienced and endured. More than two weeks since we checked out, I haven't received anything credit.

Beautiful area, great resort. We had such a good time and the views were awesome. Really close to the beach with a quick walk or golf cart ride. Recommended!!
