    38 miles long and only 10 to 15 miles wide, Molokai is the smallest of the main Hawaiian chain. The west side is arid and dry, and during the winter, the beaches are great for surfing, while summer guests love snorkeling and swimming. The eastern side is lush and tropical with miles of barrier reef in front. Molokai's north side is famous for having the world's highest sea cliffs which rise some 3,000 feet out of the ocean. The 2774-acre Kamakou Forest Preserve on Molokai overlooks these sea cliffs and is home to endangered birds and over 200 Hawaiian plants that grow only in this preserve. Molokai's south side is where you will find our main town of Kaunakakai, plus a handful of tourist and art shops, two full-service grocery markets, a health food store, a bakery, and even a wine and cheese shop. You'll also find some shopping in the villages of Kualapu'u and Maunaloa.

    I wish that the place was clean and had blankets to use with clean sheets to put on the beds even the fold up bed.. other then that the place was great.. hope to used this place more in the near future.. Thank you for our stay..

    It’s a good place for a quiet holiday but the 2 decent restaurants are 8 miles away in town. It’s a place for people who like a lovely seafront view but I would have stayed at Hotel Molokai if I knew how expensive the cleaning fee is ($150 for a 2 day stay but it can inexplicably go higher). I made the reservation through booking.com and the cleaning fees are not upfront. That’s the problem these days when hotels, VRBO, and Airbnbs are all lumped together. Please check carefully before booking. Basically a very expensive but comfortable, quiet apartment
