First of all, no one and no where explained how the A/C works at the house. The A/C was set "energy saving" mode and it shuts off by itself if any door is not close shut and it does not turn back on even the doors are close shut. Sometimes we spent 30 or 40 minutes looking for doors and windows that are not shut properly. Dryer did not work and no one came to fix it. Living room sliding door is sooo hard to open, my husband ended up in emergency room by hurting his back trying to open it. After 4 weeks later, he is still not fully recovery yet not mentioning he could not golf in Hawaii, that was one of big plans for the trip. Anyway, we left a list of items that need to be repaired. we really wish the owner can get the living room sliding door fixed ASAP and also have a note on how to use the A/C.

Wonderful place overall. This is the first time staying this far north on the island so it was a new experience for us. We loved having access to Island Gourmet at Queen’s Marketplace at Waikoloa Beach. Great food! Foodland being close by is also a plus. The pool area in the neighborhood is outstanding! It’s very large with beautiful landscaping. It’s a very short walk from the house. It never felt crowded. The house has lots of beach supplies in the garage: chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards, toys, balls, floaties, coolers, bikes, etc. The lanai is very nice with a HUGE table, easily seating 10 people. The view of Kohala and Mauna Kea is lovely and, if you look very closely toward the ocean, you can see a tiny bit of water! The beds and linens were comfortable and the house easily accommodated 9 of us. Having 4 full baths was a definite plus. The kitchen had everything we needed and more. The cleanliness of the unit when we arrived could have been better. When we shared our concerns, the management group was very responsive and sent in a crew to clean. There are also some cracked tiles on the main stairs inside the house and on the lanai that are sharp. One of our party members cut their heal on one of the tiles. Use caution. Also, our clothes with straps got caught on the dryer lint insert and ripped. Overall, we had an amazing time and really enjoyed using this house as a home base during our visit. We would stay here again!
