You really can’t beat Kiahuna Plantation for a family vacation to Kauai. The grass, beach and views are the best. Pool and club across the road are a fun break from beach. This is my third trip to Kiahuna with my family, each at different condos.

This condo has all the trees - it’s beautifully positioned and location is perfect. It needs a new mattress in the master and the check in process is tedious but I have stayed in four different units this year and this is my favorite

Amazing view of ocean and orchid garden. Soiled spot on sofa seat cushion reason for less than 5 star cleanliness. Would have liked a coffee grinder. Very friendly on site staff.

We love the location of Kiahuna Plantation and decided to go with a two-bedroom with a/c so we’d have more space and less heat. The property itself is fine value for the money. However, the property management seems not to care about guests. The check-in process was unbelievably inconvenient, and for some reason did not match the COVID requirements of the airline or the State of Hawaii. The screens on the unit are not all well affixed and/or fumigation is inadequate, so a few cockroaches got in. (We were religious about keeping doors/screens closed and sealing all foods, etc., but still had a problem). The noise from leaf blowers and other machinery was pretty constant each day for the over two weeks of our stay. Men climbed the coconut palms right outside our window to trim them without warning us first, and on the last day they spray cleaned the exterior, including the use of something that smelled very strong, but we were required to keep everything shut during the cleaning. We left our shoes at the door throughout our stay, but our white slippers were black by the time we left. Again, the issues seem to be with the management company. They also charged us $285 for cleaning and only came once — after seven days — to drop off a bag of sheets and towels outside the door, and then did not come again for the remaining 10 days of our stay. They were quite aggravated at the check-in when I asked about additional cleaning but did ultimately say they could bring sheets or towels again if we wanted — for an additional fee. The bottom floor of the unit, with a/c was comfortable regarding temperature. As to be expected, the top floor, which lacks a/c, was very hot at times.

Cm Castle management failed during checking to review all the features of the condo including the fact that you wint get new bedding or clean towels everyday. The master bedroom had a ceiling fan that did not work. Really ?? No salt in the condo. Owner fee …cleaning fee …management fee….too many fees. The front door handle needed to be painted. The brown slats on the balcony need to be painted.

Great property and location. Just tried to get in touch with castle on several occasions before the trip with no success.

Downstairs bedrooms have air conditioning. Upstairs has cross breezes. In May we were never too warm. It is an end unit. The lagoon view from lanai and the surf just a little further. The unit is next to Moir gardens and the property landscaping is gorgeous. Quiet at night, beds and pillows very comfortable. The only negative is that the property manager did not communicate ahead of time. I contacted them a couple days before our stay to see what the check in process was. We had to send them info, which could have been done sooner if we had known.
