This house is perfect for a large group. There is plenty of space inside and out. We especially enjoyed the outside amenities and the view. The suite with the best ocean could use some updating in the bathroom and check the water temperature in there. Even though we followed the quiet time rules some neighbors weren’t happy with us. I would happily stay there again.

We loved the property. This is great for a a large group as there are four private suites each with their own bathrooms and cool outdoor showers. We loved the large sliding glass door that let you feel outside while inside. There were also a lot of thoughtful amenities and nice small touches in the rooms that made the stay great.
One note, this property is surrounded by beautiful tropical plants, when you stay, be sure to plan for insects like mosquitos, birds chirping and local wildlife it is all part of the nature.

My family joined my sister's family for a long week during July 4th week. The neighborhood was very quiet and in gated community - tennis court was not available for use and there are quiet hours after 9 pm.
The layout of the house - with separate bedroom suites and lots of lounging areas (both shaded and unshaded), the pool, hot tub and outdoor grill was a definite plus! The included beach towels, chairs, and pool stuff was nice. There was ample kitchen and cleaning supplies (bring your own toiletries and some paper napkins/towels/toilet tissue). Other guests left us condiments and spices.
The space was well kept and clean, though furnishings were a bit dated. Our beds were very comfortable. The evenings were cool even without AC (there are fans in the room, but we didn't really even need them).
Our alarm kept beeping - we had to shut off manually every 12 hours. Lots of mosquitos (on cool still nights) so the included bug spray was helpful. The front door lock was tricky to open and close.
Overall a great place for two families to hang out and enjoy as a place to relax, hang, make some meals together and serve as a landing spot for different tours throughout the island.

We had 4 couples attend our sibling reunion and it was great that we didn't have to draw straws for the rooms. The common area and pool area were very nice. The kitchen had all the necessary cooking pots/pans/utensils and there were spices and things left from past guests. The frogs and birds serenaded us in the morning and evening. Very easy to go to sleep with. All in all a great trip.

We had an incredible stay at Hale Pinao! The pictures on the listing don't quite do this place justice. It is absolutely stunning and has everything you need for a large group. The communal space has a nice kitchen as well as two large tables to gather around for meals and games. The outdoor space is tropical, serene, and very private. Our group enjoyed the pool and hot tub each day and we lit the tiki torches at night. The neighborhood is incredibly safe and quiet. It feels like you are in the country, but town and beaches are just a 10-15 minute drive away. I highly recommend this space and look forward to staying here again!!

The property was a gem for our multi generational family of 11. Loads of space and privacy. Just about any needed item was available in this home. The pool was a hit with the grandchildren along with the lovey natural surroundings and sunset view. The outdoor kitchen was a hit with our son in law who did much of the dinner cooking for the group.

We have been visiting various Hawaiian Islands for the past 20 years. Villa Pinao is the best VRBO that we have stayed at. The layout is fantastic for our party of 10. Each couple had their own Master Suite and the teenagers each had their own space.
My son-in - laws loved the combination Bar-B-Que and Bar Hutch where plenty of good food and drinks were served up. The table for 10 on the Lanai worked perfectly for us.
The wives all enjoyed the fully equipped kitchen in the central dining/ living space.
Everyone enjoyed all of the beach equipment that was available for their use. The teenagers enjoyed inflating the blowup rafts.
The pool and the hot tub were great after a day of exploring the Big Island. The pool is not heated but it felt good after you were in for awhile.
I would recommend staying at Villa Pinao for anyone who has a large family!

Good: Sunsets, pool - was regularly cleaned, outside grill area, quiet neighborhood, quick drive to stores, nice individual “quarters” with mini fridges, outdoor showers, plenty of space to spread out, fans in rooms, comfortable bed, tiki torches.
Could improve: dishwasher falls forward, stock with basics: TP, paper towels, detergent, cling wrap, cleaning supplies. Both blender and toaster didn’t work. Clear out ancient food and spices, when outdoor sink is on, makes a really loud noise in bedroom, floors didn’t seem very clean or swept when we arrived. Bonus would be something to keep away flies and mosquitoes.
That being said, we had a wonderful time at this house! The layout was perfect and everyone having there own space was a big plus.
