4/5/2024: Waikiki Sunset is undergoing an air conditioning maintenance project from April 22, 2024 through May 2025. Visible construction work around the property and some intermitten noise is expected. No work will be done within occupied condos. For all projects, work hours will be restricted to 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Spartan accommodations, but it has the necessities. Very close (an easy walk) to Waikiki beach, shopping, and many places to eat. Rental management was very responsive to text inquiries when we had an issue with the parking pass. It technically sleeps 4, but would be more comfortable with only two. Would stay here again with just two of us, but would look for a larger place for a family.

Good size, good location, but hotel itself weak on maintenance (also the unit we had). One of four elevators not functioning for entire two weeks. For the unit itself, it took 3 days and the intervention of VRBO to get the TV working, but the fix was very well done and the Ali representative was very good. The fridge door handle, which had previously been glued as a repair, became unglued, but was still useable. The pots and pans were very good quality. I would rent again, for sure. Plenty of towels. Exercise room.

Ali’I Beach Rentals was a great property management company. They responded promptly to our request for batteries for the TV remote and when the cable and Wi-Fi went out. Unfortunately we were disappointed that we were not made aware that the building is currently undergoing renovation/construction which caused disruptions to the elevators, electricity, A/C, cable and laundry facilities during our stay. One of four elevators had been out of service for weeks and we sometimes waited up to 15 minutes for an elevator - and always packed over max capacity. The building and unit are somewhat dated (e.g. stained carpets in hallways and elevator lobbies, old laminate flooring). We appreciated the free parking and the location was excellent. For light sleepers, note there is a bit of traffic noise on the 17th floor.

My family and I enjoyed our stay at the Waikiki Sunset. It had everything you think you would need while on a Vacation in Hawaii. The unit was clean, and the check in and out process was a breeze. Only thing that would have been great to have was a scale, just to make sure you don't over load your checked luggage ( with all the souvenirs we purchased ) before you head to the airport. We will use Ali'i Beach rentals again in future trips to Hawaii.

Everything was fine, as advertised. Living room furniture was not very comfortable, but we didn't spend a lot of time in the condo so it sufficed. Easy parking and easy walk to the beach.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Everything from booking online to entering the condo was seamless! Condo was well equip with everything you will need for your stay. The views were also good. Bed was comfortable and condo was nice and clean.
