From this Villa you can hear the surf breaking and can also see the bay at Mauna Kea’s Kauna’oa beach. The year round sunsets are exquisite, and you can enjoy whale watching from your private lanai.
AN INFINITY EDGE SOLAR HEATED POOL and trickling fountain on your private lanai is irresistible. Luxuriate in cooling off after a fun day in the tropics, or start your day with a sunrise swim.
THE LARGE, WELL STOCKED KITCHEN is equipped for the needs of any home chef, and a private chef can be arranged for you. Upon your arrival you will not need to purchase items such as sponges, food wrap, dishwasher detergent, paper towels. Appliances include a new large Subzero refrigerator, a new Miele dishwasher, new microwave, oven, and gas cooktop, and all you need to brew the perfect cup of freshly ground Kona coffee. There is a new outdoor BBQ grill on the lanai and an outdoor dining table with seating for 6, where every morning you can enjoy your morning coffee and listen to the island wake up.
During your stay at the villa you will enjoy the WHOLE HOME SOUND SYSTEM, a TV in each bedroom, Apple TV, DVR, Cable TV, DVD player and a small DVD collection. You can record your favorite TV shows and televised sports events while you are out for the day and come back to watch them at your convenience.
Many of our longtime guests describe this villa as the best of the Mauna Kea Villas due to its PRIVACY and proximity to the hotel - it is the last villa at the end of a cul de sac with no villas in front or behind - the ONLY rentable villa with this description.

This home is simply paradise. I generally do not leave reviews, but realized that’s not fair since I benefit so much from reading them. Gorgeous ocean views, a fabulous infinity pool ( very relaxing before sunset) and a stunning home. We love the Villas at Mauna Kea for the location, easy walking access to our favorite resort, and the convenience of a full kitchen and grill. Almost every meal was enjoyed outside on the wonderful lanai. The villa design is wonderful, low profile architecture to blend in with the beautiful landscape, similar to MKBH. Privacy is available with the separation of the two beautiful bedrooms, each with their own lanai. The outdoor seating is fantastic and allows for the option of sun or shade throughout the day. The villa is beautifully renovated and decorated. It retains the Mauna Kea Resort feel with wonderful updates and beautiful artwork. As others have commented, the photos don’t begin to do justice to the property. If you are fortunate enough to stay here, please realize that this is truly a home, the term “rental unit” is not appropriate. You will find yourself completely relaxed and refreshed after a stay. The owner, property manager, and housekeeper are all fantastic.
