On the Big Island of Hawaii, we are located at sea level in the last fishing village of quiet, Milolii on an ancient lava flow, with lava coastline.
Located 33 miles south from Kailua-Kona, and just 63 miles to the Volcano National Park.
Approximately 1-1/2 hours drive south from the Kona International Airport.
We are equi-distant between many popular tourist sites located on the Kona Coast side of the Big Island, i.e Kealakekua Bay, Place of Refuge, Kahalu'u Black Sands Beach Park, Honomolino Bay, Punalu'u Black Sands Beach Park, Green Sands Beach, to name a few.
The last fishing village in Hawaii is just a 10 minute drive within the Milolii Beach Lots subdivision, where a trail leading to a coconut tree lined black sand beach (Honomolino), offers fantastic snorkeling.
The village has a County boat ramp and camp grounds, and offers easy access for kayaking and deep sea fishing.
This unique beach house offers Wireless Broadband at high speeds.
FYI, there is no A/C available in the house. Please enjoy the balmy ocean breezes that keep this house at a very comfortable temperature.
For your convenience and comfort, this house has marble tile throughout. You have 2 floors for your enjoyment. Each floor has a separate entrance with a spacious lanai. Reserve the whole house for large groups. When you retire in the evening, you have privacy. This floor plan allows privacy for couples, singles and extended family. Rates posted do not reflect holiday bookings.
115 strides to the oceanfront, you can enter the water right below the house, for snorkeling. Enjoy the crystal clear waters. Be careful for the lava rock shoreline. Please use the rope hand railing to enter the water.
IF YOU WANT TO GET AWAY FROM IT ALL....THIS IS THE PLACE!
The snorkeling is excellent. The fishing here is some of the best in Hawaii.
Humpback Whale season is Dec.-March. You WILL see the whales during the day. You WILL hear the whales during the night.
Occasionally the Spinner Dolphins will say 'hello' to you as they pass by.
You have a spectacular view from every lanai; and a lovely breeze. Lots of windows and sliding doors allow you to view the ocean from nearly every room in the house.
My name is Kir Jensen. I will do my best for a successful stay in Miloliii. Again, if you want to get away from the stress, this is the place for you!

Great views - whales and dolphins. Very comfortable home. Make sure to bring bug spray; mosquitoes were terrible. Upper unit was very sparsely supplied. Very few kitchen utinsels, no microwave, only one drinking glass. This made it inconvenient for our guest upstairs. The refrigerator went out while we were there and it was replaced the same day - great response from property manager. Loved the quite, isolated location. Overall upkeep of home is very good. Enjoyed our stay minus my 9 days in ICU at Kona Hospital

House looks just like advertised. Amazing for sunsets, taking morning walks, gazing at the ocean during the day and stars at night. Beds are comfy! We saw wild goats roaming and cute little gecko lizards, we stayed late June. Just to note access to the main road to go anywhere is a 15 minute drive down the mountain, breathtaking views the whole time but does add a commute whether going to grocery, restaurant or attraction. The town you are in is actually Milolli it’s only homes. The 2 AMAZING perks in addition to the view is the swimming hole good for older kids (ours were 10 yrs old and did just fine), it’s a 2 min walk away and had great snorkeling. In fact you see people every morning coming to swim and snorkel. The second thing which was a surprise and so so cool to explore was a 10 min walk if you walk south along the coast, it’s a lava spill that ends on the coast. You can see all the cracks, and wrinkles and even the cave like openings created by the lava. We did both of these several times during our stay. Last few things to note: - if you are a light sleeper since there is no AC, which was not a problem as long as you keep windows open, there is a little wild life sounds like birds and people living their life. So maybe bring earplugs for early morning if you like to sleep in. - the 2 floors are not connected through the interior so you may not want to for example have parents in the suite on top and just kids in the 2 bedrooms downstairs. - There’s a few attractions 30 mins away. But most of the big attractions are 1- 2.5 hours away. Pro Tips, all in 30 mins distance but should call in advance as hrs seem to be limited… 1. Tai Shan Farms - amazing tiny restaurant on a farm. 2. Kula Kai Caves - need to book appt to visit, do the longer tour. The 1hr was too short. 3. Honaunau Poke Shop - best poke and roasted pork ever!! 4. Chocolate factory right at the entrance of the main rd, seemed really cute but We didn’t get to go since we waited til the end of the trip and they were closed on a weekday. Hope you have a great trip! Do your research ahead of time so you know when things are open and what the weather will be like.

It was great to see my kiddo, who was asleep when we arrived, wake up, look around with a huge smile, like "wow!", and run off exploring the house, with its huge deck spaces and awesome ocean views. We enjoyed the private location, exploring the rocky ocean front, and watching the mountain goats wander the neighborhood. We had a nice time, Thanks!

Great property if you want to be away from congested tourist area and like to cook. Distant from anywhere and everywhere on slow, narrow, winding road. This is what we wanted and expected so it was just right for us. Good base to explore from Captain Cook around to Volcano NP.

We very much enjoyed our stay. Lovely house. Great view and proximity to the water. Enjoyed snorkeling very close, but not a spot for beginners to enter and exit. Very quiet and away from the traffic and touristy spots. Very relaxing location. It is a bit of drive from most of other places to visit, but the remotness was a big plus for us. Would choose it again.
