Remodeled Makani Sands 103 is a direct ocean front ground floor unit only 20 steps from a secluded sandy beach with great swimming, snorkeling, & uncrowded surf. You'll love the stunning year-round sunset and twin island views (with whales breaching in season) right from the kitchen, living room or the oceanfront lanai.

We are located between the world class resorts and golf courses at Kapalua and Kaanapali, and just minutes from award-winning restaurants, activities, and an outlet mall. Low-rise Makani Sands offers convenient proximity to all with a more peaceful atmosphere.

Fully furnished with tile floors, granite counters, W/D, etc., our resort amenities include pool & beachside BBQ. Like most buildings in this neighborhood ours is not equipped with air conditioning however you're so close to the cool water and tropical breeze this is rarely an issue. The sleeper sofa provides a second bed if needed.

Our unique sea wall creates an inlet relative to the surrounding rocky coastline. Tides push sand in to create a beach which varies in depth by several feet and can at times be completely submerged. There is always access for swimming and snorkeling. Makani Sands is where the local turtles tend to stay. The turtles know what they're doing....

Tom’s place was perfect for our needs…fully equipped kitchen, a patio space that opens right up to the grass/ocean with viewing of turtles and humpbacks daily right from the loungers. Never had an issue finding a parking space and the building was quiet and the lawn space well maintained. We look forward to staying again one day!

The accommodations provided by the host are well furnished and in excellent condition! The building is in good condition, recently painted. The back yard was meticulously groomed and the sunsets off the deck are out of this world! The surf every day was very calming to watch and listen and you’ll see lots of sea turtles. Makani Sands is in a good location with a farmers market and nice shops nearby. There is a lovely pool to enjoy and it is not crowded. The islands make a nice background in the sunset. The property is everything that the description says it is.

There are many options for rental condo's along the west side and for something in this price point and size I highly suggest this one at Makani Sands. Simple straight forward well appointed ground floor condo where you can walk straight out the back door through your lanai to the oceans edge. The property is well maintained so no worries on that end at all. No AC might be a challenge for some as the need for AC there is borderline. It was in the mid 80's all the time we were there in the afternoon and as long as you managed the windows and sun late in the afternoon it was fine. There are a few fans available in the master closet to use to move additional air through if needed when the trade winds are settled. Tom was very responsive in our comunications.

This was our first time visiting the island of Maui. The location of the condo was in a nice quiet area. Local shopping stores were near by and the condo was easy to find. I loved everything about the condo. Especially waking up every day to this amazing ocean view. If I ever go back to Maui, I will definitely stay at Tom's condo again. Tom was very good at communicating when we would reach out to him. Thank you again Tom for allowing us to stay at your beautiful condo in Maui.
