COVID19 UPDATE:
The well-being of our guests is a top priority. Our cleaners have enhanced their cleaning/disinfection protocols with bleach and/or EPA-approved cleaners. Moreover, we have mandated at least a one-day period between guest check-out and the next guest’s check-in.
CANCELLATION: If you book with us and you are not a resident of Hawaii*, you will get a full refund under the following circumstances for cancellation because of COVID19:
1) the government of Hawaii has prohibited travel to Hawaii.
2) the government of Hawaii allows travel to Hawaii, but requires a mandatory quarantine for travelers AND this quarantine requirement is not optional and cannot be avoided by other measures such as appropriate pre-travel COVID19 testing.
*Residents of Hawaii: The same general guidelines apply if inter-Island travel to Maui is prohibited/restricted, but please contact us for details.
Our 1-bed/1-bath condo on the top floor (3rd floor walk-up, NO elevator), offers the best and most amazing views from Hale Kai O'Kihei condo and is perfect for two! (although can sleep 4). From the private lanai, sip your morning coffee or your evening cocktail, while being lulled by the soothing sounds of the ocean, enjoying tropical breezes, and viewing whales (in-season) or magical sunsets. Right out your door are the beautiful beachfront resort grounds, along with instant access to miles of sandy uncrowded beach (great for morning or evening strolls), swaying palm trees, and the beautiful Pacific. This unit is perfect for a couple, but can accommodate a maximum of 4 guests.
The air-conditioned bedroom is on the mauka side (the side opposite the beach) of the condo with a comfortably firm Cal-King bed, high thread count sheets, a Tommy Bahama quilt, ample closet and dresser storage, and an overhead fan. The living room also offers a separate AC, a TV, and an overhead fan. The kitchen features a new dishwasher and fridge, and is fully equipped for our guests to easily prepare delicious meals. The condo decor is "tasteful beachy", and features original art from both Maui and mainland artists. Depending on surf and weather conditions, you can enjoy stand-up-paddling in front of the condo complex, or windsurfing and kiteboarding nearby. Very comfortable condo. Easy walk to grocery store. The beach is great to walk on and listen to from condo. Lots of lounge chairs with massive lawn to lay out on. Condo has beach chairs as well. The quietist air-conditioner on patio. Very nice stay.

We had a wonderful stay here. We loved starting our day sitting on the balcony, and it was the perfect spot to watch the sunset. It was so fun whale watching from the beach, and there were plenty of places that we could walk to for lunch or dinner. There was easy parking right out front, and we were close to lots of other beaches and restaurants. We would absolutely stay here again!

Amazing view of ocean! Comfortable bed. Private beach was perfect. Great shopping and food options. We visited Maui, Kauai, Kona, and Hilo. Maui was my favorite (beach, ocean, and food options). Thank you for sharing your place with us!

The property was perfect! Great location in Kihei, quiet, fully outfitted, well-cared for unit. John the condo manager does a terrific job overseeing the grounds and public areas. Anita our host was amazing, providing all the information we needed prior to our arrival and followed up with us during our stay. Very hands on, which is reassuring. We will definitely check availability of this unit during our next visit to Maui.

I stayed for one week with my husband and we didnt want to leave! Wow, what a great experience we had! The views from the lanai were breathtaking! The ocean looks closer than even the pictures show. Anita was amazing at answering all of our questions. Fantastic communication! She is so personable and helpful. We loved her. The guest guide she put together is amazing. It has everything you'd ever want to know about or do in Maui. The condo had everything we needed and more than we ever expected. Some starter coffee & filters. Butter, oil, spices for cooking, suntan lotion, etc. Even laundry detergent & dryer sheets! We were very impressed. Lots of stuff had labels so it made it easy to find and put back. Anita is very organized & it was appreciated! We loved how close by shopping, restaurants & the grocery store were. The condo was clean and cozy and the AC worked great. Very quiet. The sunsets from the lanai were gorgeous. Saw a sea turtle on the beach right out front while sun bathing. The beach was perfect and not crowded the whole week. This was our favorite vacation we've ever had. Our second stay in Maui. We will be back to stay at this wonderful condo. If I could I'd give it 10 stars. Fabulous! Thank you to the wonderful hosts!

We have stayed more than a dozen times at Hale Kai. It is a gem in the Kihei area with its waterfront location and incredible sunsets. We we very impressed with how helpful and attentive Anita our host was. The unit was well equipped with a very comfy bed and a quiet AC system in both the living and bedroom. I enjoy cooking on the BBQ and they were meticulously maintained by the building manager. Mahalo
