This ground floor 2 bedroom, 2 full bathrooms is a great value! Recently renovated kitchen and bathrooms with new cabinets, granite counters, walk in shower in Master, tile flooring throughout. New furniture master bedroom, new mattresses in both bedrooms, 2 lanais: off the living room and bedroom. Stay in and enjoy your own prepared meals in the efficient and fully stocked kitchen kitchen or you can take a short 2 minute walk and be served at the many restaurants that are right down the street!
Enjoy the amenities at Banyan Harbor:
Heated salt water swimming pool with ocean view, tennis/pickleball court, shuffleboard, BBQ pavilion, and activities desk.
This condo has a level entry so groceries, suitcases, and all your bags of souvenirs do not have to be hauled up and down stairs! There is free parking in unmarked stalls.

KALAPAKI BEACH REVIEW
Five minutes south of the airport in Lihue, you'll find this wide, sandy-bottom beach fronting the Kauai Marriott. This beach is almost always safe from rip currents and undertows because it's around the backside of a peninsula, in its own cove. There are tons of activities here, including all the usual water sports—beginning and intermediate surfing, bodyboarding, bodysurfing, and swimming—plus, there are two outrigger canoe clubs paddling in the bay and the Nawiliwili Yacht Club's boats sailing around the harbor. Kalapaki is the only place on Kauai where sailboats—in this case Hobie Cats—are available for rent (at Kauai Beach Boys, which fronts the beach next to Duke's Canoe Club restaurant). Visitors can also rent snorkel gear, surfboards, bodyboards, and kayaks from Kauai Beach Boys. A volleyball court on the beach is often used by a loosely organized group of local players; visitors are always welcome. Families prefer the stream end of the beach, whereas those seeking more solitude will prefer the cliff side of the beach. Duke's Canoe Club restaurant is one of only a couple of restaurants on the island actually on a beach; the restaurant's lower level is casual, even welcoming beach attire and sandy feet, perfect for lunch or an afternoon cocktail. This condo is in a great location, close to the beach, shopping, and restaurants. If you’re driving you can go in either direction for great sight seeing and activities. The place is clean and bathrooms and kitchen have been nicely updated. There is some traffic noise and of course the chickens. The only bad thing I can say is that the upstairs neighbor isn’t very thoughtful that there are people below. Would I stay here again? Yes; for the price you probably won’t find a better location.

On-site check in was a breeze. The condo and complex were both pristine. We cooked in often and took picnic lunches on our adventures. The condo had everything we needed. The many fans, ceiling and portable, circulate the air conditioning nicely. We enjoyed the Hawaiian prints and decor. Fresh tropical flowers when we arrived were delightful. The condo has a peaceful garden view including a resident rooster. Diane’s tip to park in the upper parking lot was a great suggestion and it was only a few steps down to the condo. The location is great for seeing the whole island. Easy day trips everywhere. We do recommend Lydgate Beach for a calm beach experience. Diane worked with us to add a half day to our vacation to accommodate a very late night flight which was greatly appreciated!

Pros: - good location for exploring the island - nice community with BBQ area and pool - beach, restaurants and ABC store in walking distance - kitchen adequately equipped - lots of beach equipment - furniture in sleeping rooms is nice Cons: - noise from street and upstairs neighours - rather dark inside, lights were needed most of the day - generally clean with minor shortcomings (carpet not vacumed, dust not sufficiently removed from fans and ceiling) - sofa/couch needs to be replaced asap Summed up it was a good accommodation for our 7 day trip, but nothing overwhelming.
