What makes this Condo unique
We fell in love with Maui several years ago, and often celebrated our wedding anniversary here. We always wanted to buy a condo, but wanted an ocean view and central air conditioning, so we were delighted to find the Royal Kahana Resort. With our bedroom on the ocean side, we can hear the restful sounds of ocean surf while falling asleep. Having our own washer and dryer is an added benefit. Our condo was beautiful so cosy and clean! It was the perfect place to rest after busy days! The condo air con fans kept the room at a nice temperature. It has shops and McDonald’s across the road and a few more shops 2 minute walk away! This really was a trip of a lifetime! The hosts were very accommodating and easy to contact should we have needed! Shelley and Dan were perfect hosts.

The property is very nice and it is located in an awesome place. It is just incredible to sleep nights with the ocean sounds so close to you. There are lots of nice places to go in 10-15 minutes drive radius. Going south you reach fancy beaches and hotels/restaurants, going north you can find wild nature and beautiful spots. The apartment itself is nice, well equipped and has great appliances.

Our stay at the Royal Kahana was great! Shelly and Dan were excellent hosts and very easy to work with. They provided us with lots of useful information and let us know what to expect well before our scheduled arrival. The building overall is great. The staff is friendly, parking is easy, and the unit was even better than we had expected! It was well stocked with everything we needed, including some beach gear. The location was great, and made it easy to visit other parts of the island. We had amazing views of the sunset, both from the comfort of the lanai and down by the pool. The pool area is great and we enjoyed several afternoon swims after being out and about during the day. I would definitely stay again!

This condo was just as posted and pictured. Easy access to the unit when arriving. The condo was clean and had a fully equipped kitchen which was wonderful. Loved sitting on the lanai watching the beautiful Maui sunsets.

The Royal Kahana is a bit older property as I have stayed here before. But this unit had all the amenities that others may not. Kept in really nice condition, with A/C, washer/dryer, beach accessories including snorkels. It just felt like this unit accomodated all the travellers needs. Great unit!

We thoroughly enjoyed our respite at the Royal Kahana. We ate on the balcony (the lanai, they call it) and could look down and see the turtles swimming in the clear blue sea. We snorkeled and we walked along the beach. It was delightful.
The condo was as promised. The kitchen was very well stocked. You felt like you were using a working kitchen and not one outfitted for rentals.
The one catch was transportation. There is a terrible rental car shortage on the island. To rent a car would have cost approximately the same rate per day as renting the condo. So, we decided to use Uber. But that did not work. We arrived at the airport and had a very difficult time getting an Uber or a Lyft. And once we got to the condo, the concierge (who is wonderful) had a very difficult time finding us a ride back to the airport even though she was searching a week in advance. (She called on taxi-driving friend who was booked and she asked him, "What about the other three taxis you own?" Oh, he said, he had rented them out to tourists as rental cars. He apparently could make more money on car rental than by running them as taxis) So it is important that you have a clear plan for getting around. We discovered that the #28 bus goes between Lahaina and Kapalua and picks up right down the street. So that worked out great for us, but we did not need to drive around the island or on the road to Hana.
We also recommend the Maui Brewing Company across the road. We ate there once and liked it so much that we went back two more times.
All in all, our visit was just what we needed: a delightful rest.

The condo had a great view off the lanai of the ocean and we could see the turtles everyday. No beach in front but right next door great snorkeling!! Condo was large and decorated nicely but dated. More attention could be taken in cleaning the condo and checked in the kitchen for things that need to be replaced.
