THE CONDO
The main living area is an open concept with the living room, dining room, and kitchen (newly remodeled). This area looks out onto the main lanai and beautiful garden area.
Our condo has 2 spacious bedroom suites. The master suite is upstairs and has a large bedroom with a king-sized bed. The bathroom has recently been remodeled. There is a dressing area with plenty of storage for all your things. The bathroom has a large walk-in shower with windows out to your private lanai.
The main level suite is spacious with 2 twin beds and a private bathroom.
You will also have access to gear for the beach or outdoors (boogie boards, chairs, coolers, beach towels, etc.) in the entry closet.
It’s easy to keep your clothes clean with the washer and dryer in the unit.
Poipu Sands has a large SWIMMING POOL, a TENNIS COURT, and BARBECUES on the property for your use.
PARKING is not assigned, but there are plenty of spaces.
As is the case with most buildings in Kauai, THERE IS NO AIR CONDITIONING. Windows are placed in strategic locations to catch the island breezes. Each room also has a ceiling fan.
LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION!
Poipu Sands is in the ideal location on Kauai. First, it is on the south shore, which is the sunniest part of Kauai. Second, it is a part of Poipu Kai Resort, which is a collection of condos that are connected with beautiful gardens and walking paths. Third, this location is WITHIN WALKING DISTANCE OF 3 OF THE BEST BEACHES on Kauai: Shipwreck Beach, Brennecke’s Beach, and Poipu Beach. Fourth, there are 2 SHOPPING AREAS JUST DOWN THE ROAD with plenty of shops and restaurants. It’s also just a short walk to the Grand Hyatt, where the grounds are absolutely gorgeous, there are restaurants to enjoy, and a wonderful day spa to tempt you. Several GOLF COURSES are also in this area. From this location it is easy to reach the entire island in a short amount of time.

The location is lovely. Close to beach and next door to the Grand Hyatt. Condo is spacious and comfortable. Sound of ocean everynight. Just lovely.

We spent a week at Poipu Sands, our second stay at Neil and Connie’s condo. Like last year, the accommodations were fabulous. The home was clean,
Perfectly located near the Grand Hyatt, provided access to everything you’d need to swim, snorkel, or hang out on the beach. Neil and Connie are the perfect, laid back host as well.

Great place to stay. Close to everything that you need on vacation (pool, bbq, ocean, beach, hiking trail). Our family of 4 really enjoyed our stay. The condo has everything that you need (beach chair, umbrella, cooler, beach towel, scuba mask, toys...).

This condo has everything we asked for and more. It might not have the idealistic views of ocean or the mountains but the area is still beautiful and close to Poipu beach and the surrounding area. Our condo is within walking distance to the beach and the size of the room is big enough for our family of 3 adults and 1 teenager. We had couple of issues and contacted the owners. We got the helpful responses back fairly fast and the issues were solved. Very pleased with the condo and the owners. Would come back and stay here again (if the price hasn’t gone up too drastically) and recommend strongly to anyone considering getting a vrbo condo in the Poipu vicinity.

Everything was great. The place is in a quiet area, but close to resorts, restaurants and beaches. Large enough for 6 people comfortably.
