Welcome to the Papakea! Our 3 bedroom, 2 bath condo is just 50 yards from the ocean. Wonderful beaches to walk to next door. The Papakea is located on north Kaanapali beach, just minutes from shops, museums, golf courses, restaurants and galleries in Lahaina and Whalers' Village.
This fourth floor condo (E404) features wonderful ocean views from the master bedroom, living area, AND the lanai. The main living area, main bedroom and loft have vaulted ceilings and large picture windows looking towards the ocean. Imagine waking up every morning of your vacation with a view of the beautiful blue Pacific ocean and the island of Molakai! Very few condos have the main bedroom ocean side. Our comfortable lanai is a great place for your morning coffee, and whale watching during their season
Make the coffee and enjoy your morning cup on the lanai, and in the evenings watch the sunset from the condo private balcony/lanai or stroll the the beachfront, excellent photo opportunities!!
The main bedroom has a king size pillow top bed. The second bedroom also features a king size bed, and the third bedroom/loft has a new queen size bed and two twins, making this condo a wonderful unit for a family retreat. Both bathrooms have been remodeled with walk in tiled showers, clear glass enclosures and include granite counter tops with new vanities.
Dressing areas have ceiling fans for comfort
The kitchen includes granite counters, a fully equipped kitchen stocked with eating, cooking and barbecue utensils to make your vacation hassle free. New pots and pans, glass ware and silverware. Coffee maker, blender and 4 slice toaster. The condo offers in room washer/dryer.
The Papakea has beautiful ocean views, two private ocean side swimming pools with oversize hot tubs, twelve outdoor gas BBQ's with their own bench area, three on site lighted tennis courts, shuffleboard courts, two twelve hole putting greens, Koi ponds and lush gardens and grounds. For outdoor enthusiasts, the golf courses at Kapalua and Kaanapali are nearby, as well as great snorkeling and boogie-boarding. Or you can enjoy morning and sunset walks along the beautiful soft sand beaches and lush gardens on site.
The Papakea was first awarded the Five Star award in 1987 and every year since then by Interval International.

Inside the property is exactly as shown in the images and as described. Two bedrooms plus the loft with another three beds was plenty of room for the five of us with our adult children. Kitchen had all the dished, pots and pans plus a variety of oil and spices. Coolers, boogie boards, beach chairs came in handy and saved us from having to buy them.
The grounds were great as well. Lawn chairs on the ocean wall and with the two different pools and hot tubs it was never over crowded. Used the BBQ once and that was great as well. Pickable courts, tennis courts, shuffle board, putting range provided other activities.
Grocery store and restaurants plus a food truck courtyard all within close walking distance.
Only thing I would call out is there is another $17 per day grounds fee the property charges when you check in, relatively cheap but a bit of a surprise.
Highly recommend the condo, the complex and will definately consider again if/when we go back to Maui.

We had a bit of check-in difficulty due to our late arrival time, but once we were checked in it was fine. Nice property in a great location. Beautiful ocean views. Well equipped kichen. I would recommend this property.

We loved the property and location. Was just far enough out of all the hustle and bustle but close enough to get everywhere we wanted. The kids loved the pool and the house had all the amenities needed. We grilled several nights at the pool BBQs which was a happy surprise for us.

We had a wonderful stay at this condo in Papakea. We had 6 adults (me, my husband, two โkidsโ aged 18 and 20, and my sister-in-law and brother in-law).
The layout was great and the location was wonderful! The view from the lanai was one of our favorite things๐๏ธ๐โโ๏ธ๐
The only request would be to upgrade the mattresses in the bedrooms as they were very soft.
Overall, we would definitely stay here again!

This is our 2nd time as family visiting Papakea and we LOVE this resort. It's the perfect location but yet not overly crowded. It's right off main highway for easy access to Lahaina, Safeway, and much more!!
This condo was perfect for the 8 of us ... one thing we did notice though was on the main description of condo it stated it was "full AC" however we noticed the AC would not be felt throughout as well as we hope for. The 2 bedrooms had to leave doors open at night for AC to be felt.
Otherwise we LOVE this resort & condo - thanks for the great stay!!
