With a view of the golf course fairway and the Pacific Ocean to the west and of the Haleakala Volcano to the east, Grand Champions 78 is the ideal place to relax and enjoy the best of Maui. Your condo is far from roads and very quiet. Yet, it is just a five-minute walk from The Shops at Wailea where you’ll find art galleries, shops, and excellent restaurants. Grand Champions Resort has two beautiful swimming pools and a hot tub along with community gas grills where you can sizzle up some steaks or seafood. It’s hard to imagine a more perfect destination for your island vacation.
Grand Champions 78 is a two-bedroom, two bathroom condo that sleeps four. In winter, the cool trade winds will keep you comfortable, but you also have central air conditioning for the warmer summer months, if needed. Your living room features a large couch and chair all situated to give a good view of the TV with cable. You also have a DVD player in case you want to watch a movie with your friends. Free Wi-Fi is so handy to have a way to conveniently send photos to friends back home.
Your home-away-from-home is built on an open concept design, connecting living room, dining room, and kitchen in one large space. It’s a plan that brings everyone together for fun and conversation.
Just off the living room through sliding glass doors is the Grand Champions 78 lanai surrounded by low flowering bushes that give you a great view of golf course action. If you’re not playing yourself, perhaps you and your guests would like to enjoy a cocktail while watching the players on the fairway. It’s also fun to bring your dinner out on the lanai. The wonderful Maui air makes food taste even better.
You have many options at mealtime when you stay at Grand Champions 78. Restaurants such as Tommy Bahama’s, Longhi’s Wailea, Matteo’s, and Ruth Cris Steakhouse are all close by. You also have a fully equipped kitchen at your disposal. Just bring in ingredients for your favorite recipes. Within the cabinets and drawers, you’ll find everything you need to cook. Your pass-through window from kitchen to dining area makes it quick and easy to get food on the table. You can also use the community grills to prepare something special for your group.

This condo is located in a lovely area on a wonderful property. Landscaping is gorgeous with a great pool & hot tub area, and it feels very safe. The layout of this condo is very nice - very spacious for our family of 4. We absolutely loved the view from the deck, enjoying it for coffee in the morning and cocktails in the afternoon. The condo is a bit dated and does need some maintenance (toilet was running, exterior door needs adjustment), and I would concur with other reviewers that the knives are in pretty rough shape (you may want to consider packing your own if you plan on doing much chopping). Overall, we really enjoyed this property!

Excellent location. Just needs some upgrades. Carpet needed cleaning. Few face cloths bowls and.cups. knives all dull etc. Little things that would.help. Just needs a little upgrading compated.to other similar.condos in this complex where I.stayed.

The toilet ran on and off. Wasting water and noise.
The ice maker on fridge did not work.
The kitchen was not that clean upon arrival.
The kitchen is not orgnanized. Hard to find stuff.
Thins stuffed in differentb places.
Very expensive for what you get.
Great location for wal;king, but too far to walk to beach.

The condo is definitely dated and has a lot of wear and tear but the view and location is great and was good enough for our vacation.
One thing to note, one of the bedrooms is facing the golf course and you can hear the crew working on the green at 5 in the morning everyday. Not ideal if you are a light sleeper.

My family and I stayed here for about 10 days. We loved how quiet the site was. From the deck you can see the ocean and watch whales all morning. Parking was easy. The house with two bedrooms two bath is perfectly set up for my wife and two daughters.
The house has all the amenities we needed. A couple things to note, This is on the golf course. Which is really cool you watch golfers and set up a teatime go right by your house. But at 5:15-5:45am in the morning we golf keepers will move the hall in mow around the hole. If you’re coming for a longer stay be prepared to get your own soap and more toilet paper. Lol.

The carpet needs to be replaced... about 5 years ago. Dirt and stains made the entire place seem filthy. The cheap appliances, battered utensils, unmatched dishware, musty couch and everything about this condo felt like we were the last guests before a major overhaul but the carpet was beyond tolerable.

We loved our two weeks in Maui! The condo had everything we needed and the staff was amazing. We already re-booked for next July! Best family trip ever!
