My wife, me, and our two adult children rented this house to celebrate both of them finishing graduate school. It was perfect. There a couple of things that one should know about it though: 1) the upper bedroom is actually open to the living room below, so if anyone is in the main living areas, people cannot be sleeping in the 3rd floor bedroom. (to be fair, the listing does say loft) 2) the bathrooms are miniscule; absolute minimum by code, space is clearly given over to very generous and nicely appointed common areas. The management company was very communicative and professional. Do it!

Thank you so much for opening up your home to our family. It is very much a quintessential Hawaii experience. The views; having the ocean just a few feet from the house; feeling the trade winds as we relaxed on the deck; the openness of the property,... And the property manager(s) were incredibly communicative and very helpful. It was just wonderful.

The house was as shown in the pictures which was fabulous and the view could not be beat. I was so so happy. It’s was the perfect place for my family vacation. The only hiccup was a leaking toilet but they fixed it immediately. I definitely recommend Parrish as a rental company and highly recommend this house.

First, if you do not have a car do not rent this property. It is not within walking distance of anything and Uber and Lyft do not work this side of the island. We landed at Lihue at 1:30 pm. I let the manager know we had landed and our shuttle was picking us up. Since we had no car, there was nowhere for the four of us to go. They did not respond back so we had to wait until the 4:00 check in time just to put our luggage away. Then, three nights in succession from 9 pm to 1 am there is base thumping music blaring from the harbor park or strand. No way to even hear the sound of the ocean over the music. Alerted management who said they would send Kauai PD. No avail. Also alerted Parrish on first night there was no hot water in master shower. Five days later no one has come to deal with it. Lastly, the best part, we were sent an alert that check out time is 10 am. Our shuttle is planned for pick up at 11 am. With no car, there is nothing for us to do but stand outside waiting. I alerted Parrish and asked for ONE HOUR so I don’t have to have my family standing outside for an hour. The response was NO! Then I was told because I would post my review about the property I was not welcome back to any Parrish properties. Based on google reviews, I would stay far away from this company. Apparently they are In the inhospitable hospitality business.

I stayed at this property with two other couples as a sort of couples retreat. It was a fantastic property to do this at as it provided reasonable privacy for all three couples while also providing good meeting spaces, a great veranda, and an amazing view of the ocean. I say "near-perfect" because of a few minir things. For example, each bedroom had its pros and cons and the loft bedroom, while having the most space, had to utilize the basement bathroom. The rooms all were a bit hot and fans helped to make it more comfortable. Many windows were non-functional or only slightly functional. I also wished they had a hammock set up like the nearby house. Again, these were all minor details. Ultimately it was an amazing stay and the people with the Parrish Collection Kauai are all amazing people, super friendly and helpful. I highly recommend staying at any of their properties.
