Since we were unexpectantly stuck here for the duration of the COVID quarantine we were very happy to have such a comfortable space that was easy for our team to live during an extended trip.

The condo was clean & accommodated all 6 of us for sleeping arrangements. The living room however didn’t accommodate us for seating arrangements. A couch or sectional would have made all the difference.

This 4-bedroom, 2 bath (no tub, AMAZING shower) apartment was the perfect size for our party of 4. We each had a room to ourselves, perfect kitchen space, BEAUTIFUL outdoor seating, and common living area. The location was perfect - roughly 15min to everything we needed/wanted. The proprietor was very friendly and accommodating (as were the long term tenants in the back of the house) and gave great suggestions for local flavor. All in all we had a great time. Downsides: this property has NO air conditioning, which made escaping the heat/humidity impossible. (We asked the proprietor for a fan, which she was SO kind to lend and it really did make a huge difference especially in the kitchen area - the hottest area in the house). I’m pretty sure the beds are IKEA futons folded out - definitely okay for the younger folk... anyone under 30 with no back problems.

Let’s start with the good. The apartment is beautifully remodeled. It was roomy enough for the 4 of us. (Sorta). The closets have some hangers which was nice. The kitchen has pretty much everything you need to make small meals. It was nice having the 2 bathrooms. The showers are nice and spacious. There is coin operated washer and dryer on site which was nice. What we didn’t like. The location is further than I thought from Waikiki it doesn’t seem far on a map but plan on at 20-30 minute card ride each way. The parking at the apartment is available for one small car. Other than that is street parking if you can find it. The road is really really busy. It is quite loud. The area is not a good area as we saw many police responding to calls on the street. The big thing for us was the no AC. I read that it didn’t have it but thought it wasn’t a big deal because of “the nice breeze” There was no breeze the house was rarely under 95 and super stuffy we found a Walmart and had to purchase fans just to get a little bit of sleep. The beds are full size. But they are quite hard futons. My mom traveled with us she is in her late 60’s and her hips were really bugging her by the end. Actual queen beds and air conditioning would have made this place more comfortable. Also, Air conditioning would have allowed us to shut the windows to drown out some of the traffic. Curtains are actually sheer so don’t plan on sleeping in as soon as the sun starts coming up it’s too bright , hot and loud to sleep. The chickens in the area are super loud , there is also a church right behind the house which is fine but services are loud and run quite late. We also seemed to have a bug problem maybe common to the island but don’t leave anything out !!!!! Also a BBQ would be nice so you don’t have to cook in the sweltering hot kitchen. I won’t return to this location.
