Isaac's rental units are easy going with a family atmosphere to it. The house is in a living neighborhood so you don't have the feeling of being among tourists - you get to experience a local green neighborhood full of cool plants and rich with birds. It's also conveniently placed to just walk to some of the best Kona Coast beaches within few minutes. Isaac is a great and super friendly communicator and clearly keep his house and the plants in great shape. We will be coming back!

Isaac has a lovely little studio. Its airy, cheery and well located. I did see one cockroach but it ran away and I wasn't too bothered by it. My biggest issue was because there are no windows that can be closed, which is lovely for air flow, really is a detriment when some sort of animal is screaming at full pitch all night and you can't close the windows. Didn't sleep a wink all night which was unfortunate. Without that tortured cat, I would have given it 5 stars.

Kona is beautiful but lodging is very expensive. Although the offer is huge, sometimes rental conditions are not clear. I was really satisfied with this rental. The space is kind, everything works, and although it is not luxury lodging, it was very comfortable and quiet.

Just outside the crowds of Kona downtown this place had everything we needed for a great stay on Big Island. The open air feel was perfect for cool nights and we could even see whales breaching from our room. Would recommend and stay again.

We had a great stay! The location was great - There is a street that runs parallel to the beach. The house is on a street that is perpendicular to this street and just several houses up. The room is spacious. Very clean. I liked the open concept. The temperature in the room was great throughout the day and evening during our stay in March. THere is a hotplate and a microwave and nice sized refrigerator. No need to bring beach gear - there are towels, beach chairs, snorkel gear etc. THere was a definite "Hawaiian" vibe. We would definitely stay here again.

Accommodations included everything you need including beach chairs, coolers, beach towels, snorkeling gear and an array of spices for cooking. I really didn't need to bring anything. Location was great; good snorkeling and beaches just down the road in either direction. Quiet neighborhood but less than 10 minutes to downtown Kahaluu. Isaac was great including letting me in at 11:30 pm when I locked myself out. I would definitely return.

It was my Wife and I, we stayed for a week. It was really good as it was just off the ocean and in the morning you could look out the window and the one morning we saw Whales diving down. You are within 1 km of really good snorkeling and walking distance to Magic for good food or an end of evening cocktail. Bed was comfortable and the hot plate worked well for making our morning breakfast. Full size fridge was nice and they have frying pans and everything else you need. Parking was good and there is roaming cats, chickens and ducks. We were up early everyday and with the one side only being a screen you can here other people leaving and all the wildlife in the area. I would stay again as we didn't want to be in the tourist area especially when the cruise ships come in.

Location is great - close to beaches and short distance from downtown. Very helpful information from property manager! We enjoyed the use of the snorkeling equipment available at the VRBO with a great snorkeling beach only a mile or so away. Very clean. Noise does carry and other guests were respectful of these rules during our stay. Parking was in a great spot and off the street.
Would recommend this place to others!

Nice spot around Kona for a homebase while we explored the area and did some snorkeling. Comfortable to hang out in and we loved the airy feel.
