The stretch of Farrington Highway on Oahu's west shore begins near Ko Olina and ends right before Kaena Point State Park begins. The two-lane road leads along the entire west shore. The most scenic stretch of the road is north of Makaha Beach Park until it dead ends. This area of the island is undeveloped. There are a few nice and empty sandy beaches here, backed by the Waianae Mountains and green valleys.

Farrington Highway on Oahu's West Shore runs along the leeward coast from the Kapolei/Ko Olina side through Maili, Waianae and Makaha toward the Kaena Point access area. From Honolulu, take H-1 west, continue toward the Waianae Coast and follow Farrington Highway northwest. The map marker identifies a point on Farrington Highway near the Makua and Keaau Beach Park section of the west-side route.
