Pila'a Beach is a very sparsely visited beach on Kauai's north shore. It is difficult to access and since the nearshore ocean bottom is rocky, it's not a good beach for swimming. The beach is a good spot to just relax without the crowds, but since the trail to it is rocky, it's even challenging to bring a picnic basket.

Pila'a Beach is located near the end of North Waiakalua Road in Kilauea, HI 96754, on Kauai's north shore. Drive North Waiakalua Road almost to the end, then take the dirt road that veers left just before the road ends. From there, a foot trail on the right leads to Pila'a Beach in about 10 to 20 minutes. A lookout point above the cliffs is also located near the end of the dirt road.
