This beach is one of the most popular beaches in the Poipu vacation area, fronting the Kiahuna Plantation Resort and the Sheraton Kauai Resort. There is an offshore reef, which acts as a buffer to waves, so the swimming and snorkeling conditions are usually good. Surfers usually gather outside of the reef area to catch the waves there.

Kiahuna Beach is located off Hoonani Road in Poipu, HI 96756, on Kauai's south shore. From Poipu Road, turn onto Hoonani Road and continue almost to the end. A small public parking lot is located on the right side of the road, opposite the Sheraton Kauai parking area. From there, follow the paved pathway in front of the resort area to the beach.
