The Grey Francolin is an introduced ground bird found in dry grasslands, shrublands, kiawe forests and open roadside areas in Hawaii. First introduced in 1958, it is now common on several islands.

The grey francolin was first introduced to Hawaii in 1958. It is now common on the islands of Maui, Molokai, the Big Island. It can also be found in some regions on Oahu, such as around Diamond Head and Lualualei Valley.

Grey francolins frequent dry, open grasslands and shrubs as well as coastal kiawe forests. In Hawaii, it can also be seen on golf courses or along roadsides.
