The major selling point of the Outrigger Waikiki Shore is that its accommodations are not inside a hotel, but are in fact free standing, beachfront condominiums. All have private lanais, full kitchens, air-conditioning, washing machines and dryers and great views. The Outrigger brand is actually the management company of the resort, while the condominiums themselves are privately owned. This leads to a lack of standardization or a touch of individuality, depending on your point of view. One thing is for sure though, some of the condominiums suffer from dated décor or furniture and frustratingly old air-conditioning units, which can be very noisy at times. On the plus side, if you book through Outrigger, you are entitled to use the facilities at the Outrigger Hotel next door. This includes a swimming pool and lounge area with private cabanas. The hotel also features the Serenity Day Spa, three restaurants, three bars and a variety of shops. The adjacent hotel's nightly entertainment also attracts Outrigger Waikiki Shore condominium guests.
