Overall, I give Waikīkī Shores four stars. The condo was clean, the bed was comfortable, the views from the lanai were great, Waikīkī Beach was a short walk away, and access to public transportation was close by. My only complaint is that there were no items like salt and pepper, cooking oil, spices, etc. we had to buy all those things. Most VRBOs I’ve been to leave items like that for the next renters. We weren’t impressed by the owner of the condo we reserved. When we arrived, we were told that the owners must have needed their place because it was no longer available! Unbelievable! We never heard anything from the host - no explanation, no apology. Thankfully, Waikīkī Shores found a different (better view!) condo for us and didn’t charge us for the difference in price. We definitely recommend Waikīkī Shores and will be back.
Chech-in process, cleanliness, location to beach & restaurants was great. My only complaint is that there was a fee for parking (about $35/day) that I was not aware of when booking the unit.
I highly recommend this unit and plan to come again soon!
We thoroughly enjoyed everything we experienced on this trip. The view from our balcony was beautiful and relaxing. The condo was clean and had everything we needed. We felt safe with all the security features. The sites, shopping, and sightseeing within walking distance was awesome. Loved being able to park in the garage when we didn’t need our rental car. Would definitely stay again!
The room itself is nice. I had some questions about our stay and trying to get a hold of anyone before we got there was a nightmare.
When we climbed into bed on our first night we noticed that our sheets were stained. There was mascara on the pillow case, red stains on the fitted sheet and a myriad of other stains on the top sheet. We called the front desk and were told they couldn't do anything until the next morning when housekeeping was there. We got our new sheets and these had different stains on them. Upon bringing our concerns to the front desk we were told they were simply soap stains (which made sense because one of them was blue), so we said ok and dealt with it. The towels were stained, we were missing our beach towels, and it just felt like the overall cleanliness of the amenities was horrendous. For what you're paying a night, stained sheets and towels should be tossed and replaced when housekeeping notices. I have a hard time believing that you miss an entire pillow with mascara all over it when you change sheets. So, that felt icky.
We experienced a tropical storm while we were there. And while I'm not expecting them to control the weather, I do expect the property to take proper precautions for nature events that occur often. We woke up to alarms at 2am and our kitchen was flooded with standing water due to a lack of proper sealing at the front door.
Overall, the room itself is fine, nice view, nice kitchen, but I do think some of the other items need work
Condo is clean, roomy and updated with beautiful appliances. It has really spacious balcony with park and beach view. Located within easy walking distance of stores and restaurants, and it is right on the beach. I will definitely be staying here again.
Check-in was a breeze and the room was just as listed. Located right on beach and was very clean and comfortable. Walking distance to all Waikiki Beach had to offer.
Condo was beautiful! We could live there. Definitely would rent again. Great view from lanai. Sofa bed was not as comfortable as we expected it to be and ceiling fan in bedroom squealed on high. Toilet ran a lot. We knew one of the elevators was broken but didnt realize how much time we would have to stand and wait(up to 20 minutes)for the other elevator. I have some physical problems so couldn’t take the stairs. Loved the decor and kitchen was great! Had everything we needed.
