Great apartment . Only thing is it’s not quite as big as other 1 bedrooms and only has a studio size lanai as it’s top floor and the bedroom only has window .otherwise it’s a great unit it’s quiet as too floor and everything you need for a great holiday .
Wow! This property does NOT disappoint! My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in PH2 and the unit is exactly as described/represented. The views of Waikiki beaches and Diamond Head are unbeatable. This unit is bright and comfortable. From coffee in the morning to sunsets with a glass of wine, the lanai was a much used spot for us. We found our stay to be quiet and the condo is close to everything you'd want. We added a parking spot rental as well and though it's tight to park, it's worth every penny as it allowed us to explore the island extensively, besides being able to walk to beaches, restaurants, and stores. We would definitely stay here again, and are already talking about going back! Thank you for the wonderful stay!

We loved our stay in this Waikiki penthouse! Lots of natural light and an amazing view! The location was great and close to shopping and restaurants. Beautiful walks on the boardwalk in the morning and breathtaking sunsets from the balcany at night! The condo was clean, comfy and had everything we needed! Would definitely stay here again!!
The property is lovely, and we appreciated being able to cook our own meals and do laundry. We rented umbrellas on the beaches on both sides of the condo, and depending on what you’re looking for (white sands of Waikīkī or deeper waters) you can find both.

WE had such a great stay. It was a perfect location. Loved the views. Very comfortable spot. We enjoyed starting and ending our mornings on the balcony.

Fantastic location right in the heart of Waikiki with the beach literally on the doorstep. From the balcony we could watch all the beach activities and had a front row seat for the weekly fireworks. There are free pickleball courts right next door and great beachfront boardwalks in both directions. The unit is well appointed with a really comfortable king bed and had everything we needed. The unit has blinds and is pretty light at night so bring an eye mask if you like a dark room. Paul was really responsive and a delight to deal with.
There was nothing lacking at this property. Check in with Paul was a breeze. He was totally responsive when we arrived. The shower was decent. We especially appreciated the Toto Washlet. The kitchen had everything we needed. The living space was comfortable and the living room TV was quite large and hooked up to our devices readily. The closet space and drawer space was more than we could ever need. The bed was comfortable. The washer and dryer worked well. We enjoyed the balcony most of all. Of course, we didn’t miss the friday fireworks. We love the location of the building and the parking across the street was secure and close enough. The building has had many updates and upgrades since the last time we stayed here. We hope to return and stay in this unit again.
The location of the condo is perfect, the condition was very good and perfect service on check-in late in the night.

On complaint.we could have is there wasn't enough time in the week's stay and Ohhhh the views!! This PH2 is the best rental we have ever had and with the convenience to cook or rewarm the leftovers from the restaurants' large servings, WE COULDN'T HAVE ASKED FOR ANYTHING MORE!! AWESOME!

This is the 5th or 6th time we have stayed at Waikiki Shore. It simply can’t be beaten and Captain Cook are great hosts. The view from the lanai is the best. Can’t wait to return.
Flying from New Zealand to east coast US, we decided on a few days layover in Hawaii to make the trip easier. We chose this apartment for its location and beautiful views. We also chose it for what appeared in the photos to be a beautiful apartment. While it served our purpose, the apartment is very dated and needs a bath and kitchen renovation at the least. We had hoped to prepare some of our own meals, but the kitchen was not adequate. On the bright side, the location is ideal and there are great restaurants nearby. And the sunsets from the balcony are beautiful.
My spouse and kids (13 and 9) stayed here and we were very comfortable. We had a pull out bed and inflatable mattress for the kids and they were both happy and with the arrangement. Note that the pull out couch bed could easily fit two kids, they just wanted their own space. Paul was great and accommodating. Place is as described and listing is accurate. We had no issues with the dryer and did multiple loads of laundry per day. Yes there are birds on the balcony, they are tiny and cute, not like seagulls or pigeons coming to fight you for your last french fry! I already checked about going back next March and unfortunately the price is now about $150CAD more per night than we paid so we are sadly priced out now :/ We appreciated the place a lot and think anyone would be very happy here. The location is amazing and so is the view.

I stayed 4 weeks. Paul, the rental agent, did a nice job, very friendly and accommodating with extra supplies after the second week when I was running low. It wasn’t required, so I really appreciated it. The condo location is wonderful. Here are my issues. First - DO NOT USE THE DRYER! IT SINGES/BURNS YOUR CLOTHES! I had 5 shirts ruined with burn marks. Only “Air Fluff” is safe, but it takes forever to dry clothes that way. Second, using the TV/Spectrum Cable system is frustrating and cumbersome. It’s necessary to use multiple remotes most of the time, and getting the on screen channel guide to work is nearly impossible! There ought to be a printed guide left in the condo for a quick reference for renters. Yes the unit was clean, but does show its dating and wear. The balcony is a favorite spot for birds, so expect lots if bird droppings which is messy. The condo in my opinion is definitely too small for 4 adults. A couple with 2 young children under 5 or 6 maybe. I wouldn’t discount a return to this condo, but would seriously consider others first.

Best room ever!! Stunning views. Room was in great condition. it was clean, well appointed with everything we needed for our stay. So easy to step outside and relax on the beach or take a walk along the water and watch the sunset. The coffee shop downstairs was perfect to pick up some local coffee or enjoy a fresh acai bowl. We highly recommend this room and Captain Cook company as well.

This was by far one of our best stays throughout our 2 week journey traveling the Hawaiian islands. The location and panoramic views of the ocean and diamondhead rival those of the fancy hotels nearby. Loved this penthouse so much tried to book ahead of time for December 2024 and it's already booked the entire month - a year in advance! TEN STARS!
