Oneloa Beach Photos
Oneloa Beach, Maui
A small, secluded spot which is never crowded, Oneloa (also known as Ironwood Beach) is popular among locals who come to this white-sand beach for sunbathing and bodyboarding. Located near the Kapalua Resort on the northwest side Maui, this quiet stretch of shoreline is backed by private villas and condos.
Oneloa is a 15-minute walk north of Kapalua Bay and has a great view of Molokai. The beach is wide and sandy. Waves can get quite high here, and occasional rip currents can occur.
At low tide on calm days, the snorkeling can be good here, especially at the west end of the beach. To get to the beach, park above it at the entrance to one of the condominiums and take the steep path down to the beach. Alternatively, the beach is accessible via a trail from nearby Kapalua Bay.
