Oneloa Beach Photos
Oneloa Beach, Maui
A small, secluded spot which is never crowded, Oneloa (also known as Ironwood Beach) is popular among locals who come to this white-sand beach for sunbathing and bodyboarding. Located near the Kapalua Resort on the northwest side Maui, this quiet stretch of shoreline is surrounded by private villas and condos.
Oneloa is a 15-minute walk north of Kapalua Bay and has a great view of Molokai. The beach is wide and sandy, and lush green hills make up the backshore. Waves can get quite high here, and occasional rip currents can occur.
At low tide on calm days, visitors to Oneloa can enjoy snorkelling, but should be aware of the rocks on the nearshore ocean bottom. To get to the beach, park above it at the entrance to one of the condominiums and take the steep path down to the beach.
