Napili Bay Beach at a Glance
Napili Bay Beach, located on the northwestern coast of
Maui, is known for its fine white sand. It lies between
two rocky points and is an excellent beach for swimming
and other water activities. The ocean bottom is sandy,
but drops off quickly to overhead depths, so watch out
for your children.
During the winter, the surf can be high and a shorebreak
draws bodyboarders and surfers to Napili Bay. The summer
months are best for swimming and snorkeling. During
times of high surf, there is often times a rip current
that runs out to sea along the north point of the bay.
There are many hotels and vacation rentals on Napili
Bay, so it’s a rather busy beach with lots of
sunbathers.
