A sugar plantation owned by Robert Crichton Wyllie in the mid-1800s, Princeville was named by the owner to honor 2-year old Prince Albert Kamehameha’s visit and his parents in 1860. In 1895, however, Princeville was purchased and converted into a cattle ranch by a missionary son Albert Wilcox. Today, Princeville proudly offers real estate, two world-class championship golf courses, a spa, and a hotel. Meanwhile, the family-run ranch offers horse rides to guests and residents.
