House had all the listed features, was clean, felt very welcoming. View is even better in person. Extra fans were appreciated, loved having the bikes, tons of beach toys/equipment, outdoor shower AND tub. Would certainly book again

We visit Kauai about every 4 months, but this was our first time staying at Charles and Lydia’s home. It was by far our favorite stay. Charles and Lydia were so very helpful and welcoming. The backyard is our new favorite spot on the island, we loved all of the horse, donkey, and cow visitors. The home makes you feel like you have the island all to yourself.

Beautiful home, dreamy location. I could have been happy spending all my time at the house. Furnished with warmth and love and decorated to honor Kauai and Hawaiian culture. The live edge wooden table, pebble shower floors, quality cotton linens, hammered copper sinks, iron palm tree screen door. Gorgeous! Comfortable beds, plenty of fans and ac, and blackout curtains made for a good night’s sleep. The kitchen was clean and well stocked. We enjoyed many family meals here. Wonderful location. The lanai is a destination all its own, with a yard of exotic plants and a view of majestic green mountains. Outdoor furnishings to relax and unwind, and plenty of quiet and privacy. Great location for nature and adventure as well. We were able to walk to tunnels beach and ha’ena beach park. The house comes with loads of beach gear and a beach wagon. We rode the complimentary bikes into the state park one day to snorkel, and shuttled in to hike another day. Things felt simpler here and we loved it. Thank you for a memorable stay!

Our stay at the traditional Hawaiian cottage in Haena was ultimately the highlight of our vacation. I will admit I was nervous ahead of our stay that the pictures were phony or exaggerated but upon our arrival we were greeted with lush tropical foliage lining the drive and a backyard view that left us speechless. We only saw the other tenant (of the front property) once in passing. A very quiet and private location. The inside space is perfect for a family. We were able to spread out when needed. Kitchen, dishes, bedrooms, baths and linens were all clean and orderly. Stocked with 4 rolls of TP for a family of 4 so we did need to replenish but had trouble locating a package of TP at the local market (just a heads up). We spent more time at the home than anticipated. Tunnels Beach is only a 5-minute stroll down the road and the house is equipped with all the gear you need. The location of this home is so perfect, we wanted to keep it a secret. Easy to get to Haena SP (need reservations), and a 15-minute breathtaking drive to/from Hanalei for restaurants, shopping, snorkeling/Na Pali tour. The window AC units have some gaps, allowing gnats and flying ants in when the lights were on at night. Not a big deal-you are in the tropics! Thankfully, plenty of geckos on the property did a fantastic job keeping the bugs at bay! The morning of our departure we were blessed with a rainbow and ALL of the backyard animals that roam freely. It was a grand send off.

This place is quite possibly perfect. The lanai with the daily visit from the farm animals, the nightly bath in the outdoor tub, the outdoor shower after waking to the best beach on the island, and the full kitchen to cook in, not to mention everything you need for the beach and a big hike. All I can say is thank you. Our second stay, we will be back. Hosts are incredible all around.

This house has the feel and look of a Hawaiian plantation house. It neighbors a pasture area where cows and horses visit along with birds of all kinds. It was lovely just to sit on the lanai and gaze out at the open area with the mountains as part of the “back yard” that had a constant waterfall to appreciate. Bed was comfortable, showers hot and powerful, everything was operable. If your looking for a place with peace and comfort, this is your place.

We stayed here for a very short honeymoon. This was absolutely amazing. From the rooms, the full kitchen, and the amenities, to the view and location, this could not have been better. We even got to say hello to the cows, horse, and donkeys next door. It was a dream come true.

We had the pleasure of staying at this property for 4 days. The views are breathtaking, we enjoyed a quiet evening bath on the lanai. Enjoyed waking up to the wild horses and donkeys in the back pastures. If you get the opportunity to stay, 4 days was just not enough. Thank you so much for allowing us to stay at your home and building beautiful memories with my family.

We stayed here for 10 days to celebrate my boyfriends birthday. We loved the view from the lanai of the mountains. On the third day we had a waterfall view from the lanai. The best part was Tunnels beach was a short walk from the house. We enjoyed snorkeling at Tunnels.
