Great place with a few issues. The window shade in one of the bedrooms was broken so we couldn't enjoy the view. And the whirlpool in the master bedroom was broken. Too bad because after the hike on the Na Pali trail it would have been nice.

If you want to get away from the main crowds this is the place to stay. note that in extreme weather you can get stuck here for a day or two as the bridges can close and roads can be blocked. the house is very clean, with plenty of space, very functioning kitchen and a great deck. due to possible floods the house is on stilts so a lot of stairs to climb so not ideal for people with mobility issues. drive into Hanalei is pretty quick and very pretty. We love this location as after heavy rains the birds sing, the flowers brighten, the sun shines and the rainbows appear, yes seriously beautiful nature. If you prefer convenience then I recommend you not stay in this part of Kauai.
