This was a perfect place to stop on the Road to Hana. It was very clean and had all the amenities. I was worried about not having air conditioning but we kept cool enough with the fan. I wish we could have stayed a little longer. Check in was easy and the people were friendly.
Beautiful room and setting. Bed was comfortable and view very nice. Stayed only one night so I can’t review the kitchen, etc. would definitely stay again. Favorite accommodations of my Hawaii trip.
We stayed here one night in order to break up the Road to Hana over two days. Had we stayed longer, we would have used some of their amenities, like borrowing beach towels, board games, etc.
Staying at Hana Kai Maui was wonderful. It is a great place to stay to break up the drive to Hana into two days. The room was clean and well equipped. There is no air conditioner but the fan did a good job. we kept the patio door open overnight and slept to the sounds of the ocean.
We loved our stay very much! The room was spacious and we enjoyed our kitchenette. So very clean and the breeze was lovely! So close to everything but yet so private!
Clean, comfortable room with a wonderful view in Hana!
We stayed here for one night during our trip on the road to Hana. It was the perfect place to spend the night. Just understand there is no AC. they do supply a big fan
Right on Hana Bay. Slept to the sound of the surf with the windows open. No TV but we really didn't need it anyway.
1 star off of cleanliness because of all of the hair found in and around the bathroom. Otherwise the place was fine and we had a beautiful place for our layover in hana.
Great property with partial ocean view. Great communication with check-in information.
The Location of the property is ideal
Quiet and well situated was hoping for a better ocean view bit still good enough
Great place with view of the water.
We had 2 different reservations for our party— both of which had been paid for ($$$ each) almost 8 months in advance. When we got there, they only had 1 room for us. The manager on duty responded promptly and ended up finding a second room in a nearby resort. It’s just hard to imagine how you can pay that much money for something and get there and not have a room to stay in. The upgrade to the resort was nice— however we were put in a 1 king room, when we had originally reserved a 2 queen room. (There were 4 of us.) When checking out of the resort, the resort demanded that we pay $35 per cot (2) that they had to bring to the room so everyone had a place to sleep. The other room we had at Hana Kai was okay— it was sufficient. There were kids around and very little sound was shielded by the walls. Also no television to drown out any sound. Overall, meh.
We came here in the hopes of getting well needed rest, but instead got a blaring alarm in front of our unit that went off all morning from 6am until almost 830am! We deserve either a refund or at least a discount for the unfair experience.
We really like the room, very spacious. You can see the ocean and hear the waves breaking on the beach.
Parking slots are a little tight, OK for a medium size car.
