Took the whole family, very fun stay. House was clean and well appointed. Fridge (freezer) and microwave could use a little work, but didn't really bother us. The location was close to shopping and bars as well as beaches. We'd go again!

2025 was our third stay at this property. We have already booked it for the first two weeks of July 2026 amazing property very close to Beach and town but seems extremely private in a quiet cul-de-sac well quiet except for the roosters but we are on Kauai after all! Beautifully appointed property has all the amenities you could ever need sitting out on the lanai either late night or early morning is so relaxing, looking out at the serene landscape and the many waterfalls in the mountains was spectacular! We are so sad to leave every year but we are so looking forward to returning each time. I highly recommend this property. I am sure we will be renting it for years to come. We have stayed all over Hanalei Bay and Princeville.This is the best place at the North Shore of Kauai.

You will not be disappointed a perfect island getaway.

We had such a nice stay at this house. The house is so beautiful and well taken care of (pictures don't do it justice!). They promptly answered questions and were able to deliver a pack n play for our daughter prior to our arrival. The yard is well kept and has gorgeous views. The best part was the location. It is within walking distance from the town and beach (and the house has plenty of beach supplies). We had plans to go to other parts of Kauai during our stay but ended up staying put after seeing how amazing this place was. We love Hanalei and have visited the town before but it was our first time getting to stay in the town. We will be staying here again and will be encouraging anyone we know going to Kauai to stay here as well!

Loved having the bicycles available for our use. Location can't be beat. All in All, Kainalu is a special home. This was our 49th time to land in Lihue and stay on the north shore, but it was the first for our new grandson, so we are starting a third generation of Hanalei worshippers!
