This upstairs corner condo has a both oceanfront and mountain views and it takes just moments to walk downstairs and onto the sand. You'll enjoy the large shady lanai and peaceful sounds of the surf. There is one bedroom, furnished with a king bed. For privacy, it can be closed off from the rest of the unit with sliding shoji screens which still allow air flow to keep you cool at night. A second bedroom is furnished with a day bed, giving you the option to sleep an additional person, plus a futon mat in the closet, perfect if your party includes a child. You can use the room as a home office if it's a working vacation, a desk an comfortable chair are included - the free internet makes it easy. (This apartment has its own dedicated high-speed wifi service, better for zoom meetings or streaming your favorite programs in the evening when the complex wifi is slowed by heavy usage.) The second bedroom has folding louver doors for visual privacy. The louver doors provide visual privacy but take note that sound will still carry.

The living and dining areas are comfortably furnished and there are dramatic ocean and mountain views from each of the large picture windows. You won't mind cooking in the efficient, open kitchen which has everything you need to prepare simple home-cooked meals or serve up your take-out with style. While there are no televisions in the apartments, wifi is provided so you won't be completely cut off from the modern world. (Only as cut off as you wish to be.) Hanalei Colony Resort H4 is uniquely well situated to let you enjoy views of Wainiha Bay, the Kauai coastline, open water, or majestic mountains dotted with waterfalls.

Even better than we expected. We loved the chill vibe of this small resort. It was so peaceful. Loved hearing the ocean all night and watching the sunrise from the beach or balcony. Our condo was bigger and nicer than expected- perfect for myself, my husband and our son. Jeanne the concierge was incredible helpful, too. This secluded part of the north shore is heaven. Only thing I wouldn’t recommend is the on-site restaurant- much better options in Hanalei or the kitchen is well-stocked for cooking for yourself.

Our stay here was fantastic. The location is beautiful and you fall asleep to the sound of the waves every night. Beautiful beach right out front and close to Tunnels, Haena Beach Park and 15 min from Hanalei. We loved staying out here instead of up in Princeville. The pool was great and local coffee shop and restaurant made it very easy.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The reservation, booking, check-in process was a breeze and well orchestrated. The resort itself was remote, quiet, and beautiful .......... everything we were looking for. We enjoyed the proximity to the beach as well as the club-house / pool area. Will definitely stay here again. Only complaint is the "hospitality receptionist" work for the resort. As soon as she realized we did not book directly through the resort she turned mean. Honestly rude and discourteous. Fortunately we did not let her spoil our enjoyable time there.

No umbrella, beach chairs beat up and rusty. Owner should install a TV.
