Aloha-We bet that because you’re reading this you’ve looked at the descriptions of many vacation rentals on Kauai.  Likely all of them gave glowing descriptions of how wonderful they are – and no doubt many indeed are. Here is why our condo should be at the top of your list!

Location!  Lae Nani, appropriately named, meaning “beautiful face” in Hawaiian, is a gathering of approximately 80 condominium units on the east side of the island, known as the Coconut Coast. Lae Nani exudes an old Hawaii charm. It is situated on the coast of Wailua Bay, one of the most sacred places on the island and the ancestral home to the Hawaiian Royals. In fact, the stone remains of a sacred temple, known as a "Heiau”, sit on the edge of this property and it is still visited and used by local Hawaiians today. In addition to the Heiau, the property features five acres of showcase tropical foliage, including palm and banyan trees and a wide variety of flowering plants. Lae Nani is located in the quaint town of Kapa’a, midway between the verdant north shore and many of the attractions found to the south. It is only minutes from the airport in Lihue. In addition, it is conveniently close to shopping and restaurants, many of which are within easy walking distance, yet it is peacefully secluded behind its gated entrance.

Our apartment is located on the second floor in building 5 (#526) and is steps from the beach and the waves of the Pacific Ocean. Swimming and snorkeling are of course favorite activities, as is sunbathing on the sandy beach. There’s even a lava-rock-enclosed “Keiki” pool that is shallow enough for little kids and timid oldsters to enjoy.  Views from the lanai, over Wailua Bay, are panoramic and unforgettable.  Unlike many other possibilities you may have read about, our apartment does not abut the parking lot but rather has a quiet winding sidewalk through lush flowering trees and bushes.  As an end unit, our apartment has three sides with windows, making it bright and open.

There are two bedrooms, one with a king-size bed and the other with two extra-long twin-size beds. *Note: The twin beds do not convert to a king. The kitchen is well stocked, and it faces the ocean allowing the cook to be part of the fun. The two fully-equipped ensuite bathrooms have walk-in showers. We spent two weeks in this amazing condo that felt like home..every amenity possible was there and enjoyed by us..the location was perfect and provided easy access to both the north shore and Poipu..very quiet beach and condo complex …really loved walking next door to LavaLava for fresh dishes and great breakfasts…also a fabulous spot to catch the sunrise..had two dinners at Dukes and must say I would not recommend..prices were too high for quality of the food..Tidepools at the Grand Hyatt in Poipu was off the charts !!! Will definitely be back…thanks Kara

This is a beautiful oceanfront property for a relaxing vacation in Kauai. We enjoyed listening to the ocean waves daily, and the view was exactly what we hoped for. The property is conveniently located within walking distance of shops and restaurants. It is also a short ride to the airport. The condo included beach chairs, beach umbrella, and boogie boards. It was so convenient to walk to the beach and have all of the beach gear available for us to use. We visited in January and the weather was perfect with the windows open and fans on. The owner was quick with communication and very accommodating. Overall the property met expectations and we would stay here again.

Excellent place for a week vacation. Location is probably the best in the complex. The condo was stocked with everything you need. The beach was secluded and swimming was fun. I would definitely recommend to book this place.

From the moment we walked into the condo, we were amazed by the views. The ocean is so close! The condo was perfectly decorated, clean and well stocked with everything one needs for an easy stay. Every day, we enjoyed early morning coffee and sunset cocktails on the lanai. The grounds are beautiful, and the condo is within walking distance to many great restaurants. We would absolutely love to stay again.

Beautiful condo. Beautiful surroundings. Well provisioned. A bit warm at this time, non-air conditioned. Second story unit so be sure to pack light, no elevator. It is so worth the visit.

The property was perfect and the owner was awesome with communication! We arrived later than expected and some issues with our data on our phones. A quick call and we got everything we needed to get into the property. The security at the property was very helpful and friendly getting us to the right condo as it wasn’t the easiest to find in the dark. The location, view, and amenities were great, could walk to several places. It was also a great starting point to get to other gorgeous beaches and activities! We loved Kaua’i and will be back for sure.
