Loved staying at Ekahi 3A this Spring break in April. Very spacious and roomy, with plenty of space to relax after a day at the beach. The kids loved walking over to the pool or the beach for a swim or just to sit and read a book. The condo has great outdoor area as well with the downstairs patio and upstairs lanais, we definitely enjoyed secluded breakfasts and dinners from the grill with a peek at the ocean through the palm trees. Kihei is a short drive or a bike ride away (recommend renting cruiser bikes, kids loved it) with shops, cafes, and other fun places. Our boys love basketball, so they enjoyed the park with the basketball hoops at Kalama Park. The condo had two beach chairs for use. I would also recommend the owners to add a couple boogie boards and a beach bag for convenience.

We have been so thrilled with this coldo! The condo is HUGE and has enough space for all 5 of us to spread out rather than being crammed in a one-bedroom hotel room. There are 3 large bathrooms, 2 of which have separate vanity areas so one person can shower privately while the other gets ready. The Master bedroom is gigantic with room for families with small kids to sleep in a roll-away, etc. (I wish my house had this many closets!) Yes, it is a bit dated (and yes, the carpet on the stairs is bit stained), but i knew that from the pics. It was very clean when we arrived and the bathroom vanities are fairly new. We didn't pick it for the decor but for the size and the privacy of the location. Great garden and beautiful surroundings as we sit on one of the four (really 5) lanai areas. Peek-a-boo view of the ocean is a bonus! The location in the village is ideal - a short walk down to the beach/main pool, but plenty of privacy on the 5 separate lanai areas. My boys have loved chasing the geckos in the lavish garden area and we could see whales breaching today while eating breakfast. The kitchen is fairly well stocked and the bbq works great. We've eaten in so far for every meal! Thanks for providing beach towels and sand chairs for the visit. The stacked washer and dryer have been so handy, too. Thanks to Dawn for all of her help in booking - it's been great! I highly recommend this condo - we'll be back!

We had high hopes for this 2 story spacious condo. The photos looked great, but...... Yes, it's big and in a great location in Wailea, but if you are looking for truly clean this isn't the place. Cob webs filled with little dead bugs isn't my definition of clean. Your bare feet could tell the tile floors hadn't had a good cleaning in some time. The carpet on the stairs is quite stained. Maybe a better cleaning crew is the answer. My family concluded that the VRB"Owner" doesn't stay here much if at all. It definitely feels like a corporate vacation rental not someone's vacation home. We stayed in the same complex 2 years ago in a wonderful 1 bedroom unit very much personalized by the owners who visit regularly. When Destination Resorts Hawaii responded to our email we should have know. Shame on us - it won't happen again. DRH definitely won't get our business again either. We made 2 small and very reasonable requests of David at the front desk - neither of them were met. Later I had to ask for more kitchen trash bags because one wasn't going to do it for more than 2 days when 4 people are eating in 3 times a day. Apparently the crew didn't prepare the condo properly because they only left us one kitchen towel and no dish rags - I found out later that more was standard issue. But initially I had to ask for more. For the price we expected much better. We definitely won't be back to this unit or use DRH again. This was our 8th trip to Hawaii and unfortunately the most disappointing.
