This is a place to relax. You can watch the whales play and hear them sing at night. The cows lazily graze through the pasture below with the Big Island of Hawaii off in the distance. Sunrises and sunsets offer stunning colors across the sky. You can also appreciate the views from the comfort of your bed. We have stocked the cottage with all of the amenities you will need to make you feel right at home.
For the more adventurous, there are hikes, beaches, and waterfalls nearby. Haleakala National Park (7 Sacred Pools) is located 4 miles south of the cottage and Hamoa Beach is 3.5 miles north. A small freshwater pond is only 1/4 mile down the road.

Overall a really good stay. Unfortunately hit some complications that had me stranded as the home owner just happened to be out of town- beware the front door is auto locking so even if you’re just stepping out to your car have the house key in hand! I had also met a centipede for the first time which was also a first for me. Clean house with all of the amenities needed as well a comfortable bed.

We loved the little cottage. Waking up to the sound of birds and watching them from the deck everyday was wonderful.
The absolute privacy of our deck was a real treat!
The appliances were in excellent condition and easy to use.
The screens kept all insects .
This is a honeymoon cottage even if you’ve been together 50 years‼️💯☮️💖😍

Everything was wonderful! The location was perfect for a relaxing and quiet getaway and the views were beautiful. The house had everything we needed from kitchen supplies to beach gear. The checkin instructions were accurate and we appreciated the detailed instructions. Hana and this house was our favorite stay during our trip to Hawaii and we were so sad to leave!

If you are looking for serene and beautiful this is your place. Hana is the quiet, out of the way side of the island and this cottage epitomizes that. The view is stunning. Being able to see the sun rise over the ocean from bed is amazing. Cottage is not fancy, but has a lot a character and everything you need.

Still dreaming about this place. The most calming and cozy cottage - with cows mooing, rolling hills and ocean views. Michelle was very responsive and sweet and made sure we had everything we needed. Already planning our next trip back. Thanks so much again!

Lovely place to stay. Kitchen was stocked well. Would have been nice to have a gas BBQ grill. We enjoyed time on the lanai watching whales and cows.

I was skeptical about this listing being as good as it looked and described. As it turned out I was right, it was better. It was comfortable and well equipped but the best part is the location right on the water front. It feels like your are alone in a place you only see on television. Despite the fatigue of a long day driving to Hana, I couldn’t wait to wake up to see what the sunrise would look like and it didn’t disappoint. I will definitely stay longer on our next trip to Maui.

We had a lovely stay at the Koali Ranch Cottage. We ended each day relaxing on our lanai overlooking the ocean. It was perfect.
