This is a place to relax. You can watch the whales play and hear them sing at night. The cows lazily graze through the pasture below with the Big Island of Hawaii off in the distance. Sunrises and sunsets offer stunning colors across the sky. You can also appreciate the views from the comfort of your bed. We have stocked the cottage with all of the amenities you will need to make you feel right at home.

For the more adventurous, there are hikes, beaches, and waterfalls nearby. Haleakala National Park (7 Sacred Pools) is located 4 miles south of the cottage and Hamoa Beach is 3.5 miles north. A small fresh water pond is only 1/4 mile down the road.

I was skeptical about this listing being as good as it looked and described. As it turned out I was right, it was better. It was comfortable and well equipped but the best part is the location right on the water front. It feels like your are alone in a place you only see on television. Despite the fatigue of a long day driving to Hana, I couldn’t wait to wake up to see what the sunrise would look like and it didn’t disappoint. I will definitely stay longer on our next trip to Maui.

We had a lovely stay at the Koali Ranch Cottage. We ended each day relaxing on our lanai overlooking the ocean. It was perfect.

This was exactly what we were looking for our time in Maui. We enjoyed the slower pace of life there and the small town feel of Hana. Definitely would stay again if we ever make our way to Maui in the future.

My husband and I stayed here for the last three nights of our ten night vacation in Hawaii and it was a perfect place to relax after being very touristy for the first part of the trip. We were fortunate to have perfect weather, but even if it had rained, the lanai was protected enough to enjoy the outdoors. We loved the view of the ocean w whales and the Big Island on the other side. The cows grazing below the lanai added to the serenity and character of this cute little cottage on the ranch. The close proximity to the east side of Haleakala NP was a bonus so we could hike there early in the am to beat the crowd. We would definitely return here and recommend it to our friends. Staying in Hana was a recommendation from our neighbors who had driven the Road to Hana before us and we were grateful for the heads up- it contributed greatly to the relaxing end of our trip.
