On Nov 9, 2022 the resort will begin the installation of the infrastructure portion of the Air conditioning (AC) project, affecting the hallways of the building. They will begin on the 9th with the 2nd-floor hallway on the Mountain side of the building. This work includes grinding the edge of the walkways and drilling new holes in the concrete where the rails will be pushed outward toward the parking lot to allow for the AC condensers to the placed in the hallways. The above-mentioned work can and will be, at times, noisy. Work hours Mon-Fri 9am to 4pm. The project is slated to be completed late spring, early summer 2023. Additionally, a few condos throughout the resort are undergoing renovation projects.

The bedroom offers a comfortable king-sized bed with a custom closet organizer system with safe to keep your valuables secure. The two bathrooms were updated from floor to ceiling with extensive use of granite and tile. The bathroom offers a walk-in tiled shower (no tub). Additional sleeping option of a sofa sleeper in the living room allows for 4 guests maximum occupancy. Additional perk: free local and long-distance calls to US Mainland and Canada.

We totally love the Kihei Surfside and have rented through Maui condo and home for years. they used to be really great but unfortunately the service seems to have become inconsistent. We were astonished to find there are no beach towels and were told this is up to the owner. I think Maui Condo and Home needs to have some standards all owners they take on must abide by. Beach towels are standard and basic. Also while there were many great amenities, some basics such as only 2 coffee/tea mugs were not great. however once we called about it, some were brought and that was great and additional towells (bath) also brought. but it did seem a struggle. when you are paying this top dollar you do expect not to have to ask for things that are just basic.

Great location, decent value, property manager is a great communicator. The sleeper couch needs to be replaced, towels all need to be replaced and beach towels added. Basic amenities need to be added like dishwasher detergent, napkins, coffee filters, better/more soaps in shower.
