Effective May 17, 2024, through June 2, 2026, Papakea Resort will undertake an extensive plumbing project. Standard work hours for this project will be from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday, unless authorized for weekend work. Contractors may be present on the property to commence preparatory tasks as early as 7:00 AM. Non-working holidays are already included in the schedule. To minimize disruption, any excessively loud work will not commence before 10:00 AM. Dates are subject to change. Not all units will be affected at the same time.

Cooking is a pleasure in this upgraded, fully stocked kitchen featuring granite countertops. The bedroom includes a large and comfortable Queen size bed and there is a Queen sleeper sofa in the living room. This condo is kept cool with an air conditioning unit in the living room and ceiling fans in all rooms. The bathroom features upgraded granite countertops and a tiled shower. This condo is stocked well with beach towels, beach chairs, a cooler, and more.

Papakea Resort offers lush tropical landscaping, koi ponds, two saltwater pools, spas, shuffleboard, putting greens, tennis, and much more! It is located just North of the famous Ka'aanapli Beach. Just within walking distance from the resort are many shops, restaurants, and a grocery store. It is a quick drive to Whalers Village, Lahaina, and many of Maui's top beaches.

Our stay was easy with uncomplicated check in. Several things were broken when we arrived and the property manager addressed them quickly.

Check in after hours was alittle difficult and had no running water due to a waterline break. Some trouble getting information on the water issue but it was rectified midday next day. No fault of owners just a major inconvenience after long late flight.
Property is as stated with ocean view but as others have stated Koi pond fountain is pretty loud so can’t hear waves. Lots of birds and lizards running around we enjoyed watching them.
Over all a good property with descent location. Grocery across street and food trucks in walking distance.

We have stayed at the Papakea at least once a year for the past 10 years in several different units. We absolutely love staying at the Papakea. This unit was fine and had what we needed, including a few beach chairs and 2 beach towels. It has a nice view of the ocean and property although it is above the koi pond and the fountain was very noisy, drowning out the sound of waves. The kitchen was well supplied as was the bathroom. Ceiling fans in the bedroom and living room worked well, we rarely needed the air conditioner. The bed and the couch were soft and not supportive for someone with a back injury. The closet doors and screen doors were always off the tracks. The carpet had a lot of stains. The outdoor furniture was great - we spend a lot of time on the lanai! We had a great stay at Papakae, as always! This unit was very clean and in a great location on the property. The rental team is very quick at answering your questions and getting back to you right away. I do wish there were a few more “extra’s” in the unit such as condiments, more beach towels, etc., but we had a great stay!

The place was wonderful. Spacious and comfortably furnished. Nice view of the ocean. Walkable to grocery store and a handful of restaurants and food carts. Would definitely recommend!
