The proximity of the house to a quiet beach that always had turtles was incredible. We also enjoyed walking through the neighborhood to the local store. The layout was perfect for our family that was traveling with a toddler and an infant plus a set of grandparents --- so nice to have the separate entrance for Grandma and Grandpa's room and big shared space for meals and hang out time. The outdoor shower and hose in the driveway was clutch to stay sand free. The host on island was incredibly responsive whenever we had questions and even offered us early check in. We loved the amenities around the house like snorkel gear, beach umbrella, cooler, boogie board, and six beach chairs to borrow... And the little things like scotch tape available to repair our toddler's ripped book (saved the day). The artwork in the house is unique and beautiful (check out the incredible painted surfboards). For coffee snobs like us, it was nice they provided not only a coffee pot and K-cups but also a French press. When we stayed, there were two pack and plays, a high chair, and a booster seat in the house. Wish we'd known that so we didn't lug ours 2,700 miles! Thanks for an amazing stay.
The house is just a short drive east along the Hana Highway from Paia, Maui, Hawai’i. The location is a very peaceful, relaxing, and thoroughly enjoyable vacation hideaway. A "baby beach" that is right off the Mama's Fish House (which was great!) is a natural breakwater jetty (modified by human hands) that protects the beach and swimming areas from the ferocious (and beautiful) Pacific Ocean waves. The beach and restaurant are absolutely gorgeous and family-friendly. Paia, by the way, has many shops and restaurants, and I found the food and service to be of high quality and the prices very reasonable.As for the house, we found it to be very “homey,” and that’s meant to be very much a favorable comment. The house is very comfortable with a great layout and has everything you could want. The walk to the beach is a veritable skip and a hop. The house does have in-window air conditioners, and they are more than adequate to keep you cool and comfortable. Appliances are new and complete to suit your domestic needs. Our son loved the separately entered guest room. With a nice outdoor patio, the house felt very spacious. We felt very much at home there and would stay again at this rental.Great place for a young (or older) family. Highly recommended!

We had an outstanding vacation, and the house was perfect. The host had thought of all the little things that make a vacation go smoothly (especially when you are coming from 5,000 miles away!). Highly recommend any family looking for a VRBO near the Road to Hana

From the ammenities to the location - absolutely perfect for our group. The house itself was wonderful and comfortable. You cannot beat the location, great town, great beach, and of course walking distance to Mama's! We will be back for sure.
Short walk to Momma's beach - what a beautiful well protected little beach. We were able to see many sea turtles in the water and on the beach. The house was well equipped and comfortable - great overall stay!
