Great quiet property. Never an interruption from the attached, but no shared wall, neighbor. Felt very private. Beach is SO close, can walk with a beverage in hand for sunset. Chairs, towels and umbrella provided! The space felt larger than in the photos! Don’t let studio fool you - plenty of space. Wonderful stay.

We absolutely loved our stay at Happy Place Bungalow in Hanalei. It was the perfect location for exploring the north shore. Quick and easy access to the beautiful Hanalei Bay beach and a short walk to the great restaurants in town. The property was beautiful and well maintained with all kinds of beach gear to make your trip enjoyable. You will not regret booking here.
Great place, decorated with Hawaiian memorabilia, hear the birds chirp in the morning, watch the sky change colors at dusk. Great location, all the amenities would definitely stay again
We had a terrific time. The location was as perfect - close to the beach and an easy walk to shops & restaurants. Would have given them 5 stars for everything, but internet was down and there wasn’t a backup plan for communicating with them. Everything else was great!

The location was perfect, a short walk into town, and a few blocks from the beach. We loved that we didn’t need to drive anywhere once we arrived. The place itself was clean, the hosts were responsive, and it had a comfy bed and the kitchen was great! This was my second time staying with Makana and I will definitely stay with them again.

Cozy, well laid out so it felt bigger than it was, everything up to date and clean as a whistle. Excellent signage and location and supplies for beach. Easy in/out and great locations, walk to town or beach yet quiet street felt very private.
Perfect spot for a couple, short walk to the beach and very clean. Provided nice beach supplies already packed up in a cart. Would stay here again!

We had a very short stay in Hanalei. We had originally planned to stay almost twice as long in a larger location in Dec but when we rescheduled, our stay was shortened as the daily rate had increased greatly. That did result in a bad taste for the property. But the place was sufficient for us two and was clean and convenient to the beach and town. The house is difficult to find in the dark as the street number is not visible from the street. And there was no one available at the emergency number. Overall we enjoyed our stay but thought it was overpriced.

Loved the happy place bungalow. Can't say enough good things about this place. Lovely charm, great location, extremely comfortable bed...this was the perfect place for our week on the north shore. Will definitely be coming back!
