Fantastic location to explore Hana and proximity. Will come again any time.
We were drawn to this property by its beautiful location, just steps from Hana Bay Beach and within walking distance of town, and the listing photos truly delivered on that promise. Unfortunately, despite the stunning setting, our experience was deeply impacted by an issue that made it impossible to stay: overwhelming humidity.We paid 2,500 for a two-night booking in early August 2025, but had to cut our stay short after just one night. The humidity in the home was so intense that we were literally stuck to our sheets and couldn’t sleep at all. We tried everything to cool down - fans, windows opened, even rearranging bedding, but nothing helped. Our first night was miserable, and at that point, staying another night wasn’t an option.We truly appreciate the beauty of the property, but the unbearable humidity cost us not only a sleepless night but also an expensive change of plans. We wanted a peaceful Hana escape, and instead, we left feeling frustrated and out of pocket.
We spent a long weekend at the Elua Cottage and it was so relaxing! It’s stocked with all of the essentials. It has amazing ocean views and even my 6 yr old was sad to leave. Ocean breeze and the sound of the waves all night were so nice. It really is a gem of a place to call home base while exploring Hana. Easy to find, even after dark. Well definitely stay again!

What a charming cottage! We only wish we had more time to enjoy it. The view is absolutely breathtaking, and the sound of crashing waves made for the most peaceful sleep. Everything about the house and location was perfect—the spectacular view of Hana Bay, the spotless and comfortable interiors, and the well-equipped kitchen with all the essentials. Every room looked just as pictured on the website, which we truly appreciated. We loved our stay and would absolutely return!
Beautiful 2 bed, 2 bath with jaw dropping views and tranquil serenity. Comfortable beds, full kitchen, and laundry available onsite. The view from the large windows and back deck are world class. The propane fire pit in the back yard was being finished and will be a nice addition to enjoy while sitting under the incredible amount of stars you will see. It’s walkable to a lot of Hāna attractions or a very short drive. The host is friendly and responsive. I will look to stay here again next time I’m in Hāna.
The property is fantastic and had everything we needed. Great response from the property manager and very clean. The evening breeze was the best and just hearing the ocean all night was so calming.
Beautiful place to stay. We lucked out and had no rain. Very quiet location with and exquisite view. Great kitchen - very well appointed. Would definitely stay again.
We spent two nights in Hana and this little cottage was just perfect. We didn’t cook but we could have; the kitchen was well stocked. Beds comfortable, views breathtaking. We will not hesitate to return next year.
Excellent all around property
I absolutely loved our stay in the Elua cottage. Roberta was very communicative and even stopped by with some fresh lilikoi (delicious!). There are a few items in the house that could use some attention/fixing, but overall it was just an amazing stay!
